He opened the door to the bakery, the strong aroma of freshly baked goods filling the air around him. He came to the bakery because he realized how hungry he was a few blocks back when he first smelt it. As he walked into the bakery, looking at all the goods laying around he heard a voice from the back area of the store.
"Welcome to Baked Love. Please take your time, buy what you want."
This was said by a gorgeous young lady behind the counter, long black hair, dark, forest green eyes, and a beautiful smile.
"Oh, alright." the man returned her friendly smile, feeling nervous before her, his heart beating harder, but he couldn't figure out why. "By the way, whats your name Ms?"
"Oh, my name? It's Lily. Umm....what about yours?" Lily asked, almost appearing to be nervous.
"My name is Erin, nice to meet you Lily. May i ask what you recommend?"
"Well, just about everything here is good. But i made the Eclairs today and i think they came out well." As she was talking she walks over to a shelf with several Eclairs on them, the pastry looking nice and fluffy while the chocolate on top smooth and shiny.
After a bit of contemplation, he comes to a decision. "Alright, ill buy two then."
"Alright." She gives him a smile as she grabs two eclairs. She walks off towards the counter, her hair flowing behind her.
"How much will that be?" He starts to pull out his wallet, grabbing some bills for a initial estimate.
"Lets see, ten dollars for the two. But....ill give you two dollars off. So eight dollars please." She gives him a gentle smile and holds her hand out
He looks at her a bit surprised, then gives her the eight dollars. "Keep one of the eclairs for yourself. I don't think you'd be allowed to eat all the fresh goods." He chuckles a bit when he says this.
This time it was her turn to give him a surprised look. "Oh...thank you very much"
"Its my pleasure." He looks at the counter a bit nervously, then looks her straight into her beautiful green eyes. "What time do you get off of work Lily?"
"Oh, i get off at eight pm. Why do you ask"
"I wanted to know if you wanted to do something after work. Have fun, grab a bite, something." Erin looks down nervously again
She smiles slyly. "Ohh, so like a date? If its a date then sure, if not i dunno..."
He jumps up slightly, a bit worried, and turning bright red. "Ok ok, its a date."
Lily giggles, then grabs a piece of paper and scribbles something on it. When she hands it to him he sees its a number. "Its my number, call me after eight and tell me when and where." She gives a slight smile.
"Oh ok. See you around eight then. Good luck Lily" He smiles then walks out of the bakery, very happy his apetite took him there.
