A creature made of darkness
But his heart was built of kindness
His wings are made of sharp velvets
His mind is made of good interests
His feathers as heavy as metals
He has paws instead of carpals
His claws soft as satin
The creature’s patience is cotton-thin
His body was beastly
But his mouth smiles kindly
His eyes shine like the sun
His hair is dark-silver spun
He is commonly seen as rogue
But to me he is vague
His tongue is as sharp as a sword
He can hurt with every word
His heart that is mended by silk
Maybe soon would bound to bilk
I enjoy his presence
But my heart breaks and opposes
