At The Mansion

I started working at the Phantomhive Estate about three years ago, and I have to say, it has grown on me. I only have one problem though.

I am in love with Ciel. The Earl of Phantomhive. Yes, a low status maid like me, in love with the Earl of Phantomhive.

Stupid girl. What's wrong with me? But besides that, everything else is wonderful. I love my fellow servants! Baldoroy and Finney are like my brothers, Meyrin, like a sister, and Tanaka like a father, or wise old friend.

Anyway, one day I was cleaning the floors at the mansion and Finney bumped into me. Therefore I bumped into the trash can spilling its contents every where. As I got up I found a letter. It read, To: Miss ________ From: Alois Trancy. Why is this in the trash?

I opened the letter and found it was a job application. It read, "Hello Miss _______. I request your presence at my mansion tomorrow for a job interview. Your skills and attributes are most impressive and I cannot wait to see you. A carriage will arrive at 4:00 p.m on January 28th and if you have any rejections please write back by December 31st. Sincerely, Alois Trancy."

Well...this was interesting! I have been wanting to explore more job opportunities lately, and this is the perfect opportunity! But...January 28th? that's tomorrow! Not much time to decide but...why not?!

I walked up the long and winding stairs to ask Ciel about maybe going to the Trancy Manor. I knocked on the door and Sebastian greeted me. "Come in Miss ________" He said with a smirk.

"I wonder what that was about." I thought to myself. So I walked in the doorway and greeted Ciel. "Hello Master Phantomhive. I have something to ask you about"  

Ciel nodded, urging  me to continue. "Ok, so I found this letter and..." Before I could continue Ciel's facial expressions totally changed and he slammed his fist on the desk.

"Where did you find that letter?" Ciel asked in an assertive voice.

"Oh! Well you see Finney bumped me and the trash spilled and I was thinking of going to the Trancy Manor to..." I started, but then Ciel interrupted.

"I DON'T CARE! YOU ARE NOT GOING TO THE TRANCY MANOR MISS ________!" Tears swelled up in my eyes and I nodded my head. Then I turned around and started to walk down the stairs.

I held myself tightly while fixing my stockings that were falling down and thought, "Why would he want me to stay so bad? He's never even really talked to me before so why would he care?"

I wiped away my tears and said to myself, "I have been stuck here too long! And Ciel's never even thought twice about me! So why should I stay? And i'm my own person and he cant tell me what to do!" So I packed my stuff and got ready for the carriage coming at 4:00.
