I woke up laying on the ground in my woods. I went to sleep last night and woke up in a forest. I sleep-walk a lot but not so much to unlock a door and get lost in two hundred acres of woods. I get up and brush myself off. I'm in the middle of a wide path. I begin to walk towards the sun.
There's a table ahead of me. I approach it quickly and hope for something useful. I hear it before I see it. The tone when a call I ended and you don't hang up. You don't hang up because you want to stay. You don't want to let go, while everyone else doesn't give a fuck. You hang up.
You wake up in the middle of a field. You're in the middle of a clearing. Pine trees surround you. You remember that you hung up. You hung up. You became just like the others. You hung up. You sit up and start rocking back and forth, gnawing on your hand. Your right hand. You need to hurt yourself to remind yourself not to become like them. You stand up and walk forward a few feet, still gnawing on your hand. Suddenly, water fills the area. Pure, clear water. It's starting to become red. You look down on your hand and realize you are the problem. You are the one contaminating everybody else. You drown.
You wake up gasping in class. You must have fallen asleep. It's oddly quiet. You look around and realize no one is there. You are alone like you are with everything else. You walk out of the classroom and into the hallway. After walking around the seemingly deserted school, you find yourself at a four way fork. You look down each way debating which way to go. At the way end of the hallway, the lights shut off one-by-one. You look around and realize the other three are doing the same. Suddenly, everything is pitch black.
YOU. HUNG. UP.
