EEEEEEECK!! The ship lurched with an unexpected force. Tahoe felt his head spin in an unnatural motion and heard a satisfying crunch.

He screamed for the omni-droid to give him the neck pills. Tahoe downed two pills and soon heard his neck bones rebuilding until his neck was as good as new.

He stood up to help the others gain control of the fast moving ship.

After slurping down an oxygen grope slushy, Tahoe grabbed a grappling hook and tossed the thick piece out the window where it quickly attatched to the metallic ship.

As he climbed up the side Tahoe saw the problem, a smucker ,or as the ancient humans called them, a 'leech' was sucking up the metal in the control director.

Tahoe quickly took action and he carefully positioned himself over the smucker and pulled out a long claw-like stick. He picked up the common creature in the claw and threw it into the distance. 'What great fun!' Tahoe sarcastically thought as he made his way back to the window.

He climbed back into the the ship sighing, he never got to do the exciting jobs. As a warriors son he should have trained years ago since he was 18 but no,his mom convinced the officer not to let Tahoe train.

"Potato gigglenuts " he cussed in the foreign English language, he dragged himself to the bed chambers and made his way to his room. Ito, his omni-droid quickly made breakfast in Tahoe's Meal Maker 2067.

After delivering the meal she(Ito) went to rest in her Droid 600, a charging machine for omni-droids.

Tahoe chomped loudly and thought about the visit to Verius that his pod would be traveling to without him in the next hour. Technically he was in the pod but after his mother didn't let him train he couldn't learn anything other than regular school stuff and couldn't leave the ship.

In the middle of eating a knock was heard at the door, he allowed the visitor entry as he threw his food on the small table by his bed.

"Tahoe, I came to say good bye because we are leaving for the trip soon," Rue, one of his best friends walked in. After looking at his sad face she said, " I tried to convince them that you are no longer in your moms care so you can go but..." She trailed off sadly.

For years Tahoe and his bestfriends Rue and Gale had searched for a way for him to go with the pod on all the outings but it didn't happen. He always was left behind. Rue sighed and threw a mysterious wrapped box at Tahoe. As she walked away her dark hair flowed behind her(she probably wanted to leave before Gale showed up....too late).

As she walked away Gale wolf whistled at her retreating body. She tensed but resumed walking. Rue and Gale had an interesting relationship, Rue hated him while he adored her, it was very entertaining to watch their conversations-well more like acknowledgements...

After whistling at Rue, Gale turned to Tahoe,"hey man I gotta go in a few but I gotcha something to do while we are gone and you miss my ever so cunning presence." Gale took out a huge box and said goodbye a final time before walking after what he liked to call 'his girl' being Rue.

Tahoe chuckled after his friend and went to open his present from Gale.He pulled back box 1 only to find another box,box 2 he opened that to find boxes 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17, and finally a tiny ring sized box-box 18. He slowly opened the bow to reveal a small folded note, he opened it then groaned and threw the box on the ground. The note had read:

"When I get back I will bring you a piece of Verius and possibly a girl"

Next he opened Rues gift and found a new watch summoner! Tue always knew what to get a lonely Tahoe :)
