I slowly turned the knob. I tried hard not to make a sound. She was already fast asleep. What do I expect? It was 3 in the morning!

Hanggang anong oras na naman kaya siya naghintay? Napasubo na naman ako. Kahit ilang beses ko nang ipinangako na hindi na ako lalabas nang basta-basta, hindi ko pa rin matanggihan kapag may nag-aya. Napadami na naman ang inom ko.

Tiningnan ko siya, ang babaeng mahimbing na natutulog sa kama. Nakatulugan na niyang hawak ang kanyang cellphone. Ano naman kaya ang tinitingnan niya sa phone niya na kinatulugan na niya?

Humihilik pa siya. Napagod na naman siguro siya maghapon. Dati inis na inis ako kapag humihilik siya. Nakakairita minsan. Lalo na kapag nakukuha ko na ang tulog ko at biglang lalakas ang volume ng hilik niya.

Ngayon, habang tinitingnan ko siyang mahimbing na natutulog, hindi ko maiwasang mapangiti. May pagka-cute ang hilik niya ngayon. Parang may melody. Kung kaya niyang tiisin ang mga kalokohan ko, kaya ko rin sigurong tiisin ang epic niyang hilik.

Walang-wala ang mga pinagdaanan ng babaeng nasa harapan ko ngayon kumpara sa kailangan kong pagdaanan bago matulog.

Magagalit kaya siya? Magtatampo? Ilang pangako ko na ba sa kanya ang napako? Ilang beses na ba niya ako pinagbigyan? Ilang sorry na ba ang binitawan ko? At ilang okay lang kaya ang kaya pa niyang sabihin?

Gumalaw siya nang kaunti. Nakaharap na ang maamo niyang mukha sa akin. Humina nang kaunti ang hilik niya. Napangiti ako.

I stared at my lovely wife. Oh, she still has it. She still has the very same face that made me chase her. The very same face that I fought for.

Hinarangan ko si Brian na makalapit sa kanya. Dahil alam kong kapag si Brian ang nagpapapansin sa kanya sigurado akong talong-talo ako.

Muntik na rin siyang maagaw sa akin ni Charles noong college. Buti nalang at malakas akong magdasal at hindi nag-level up ang pagigiging mag-MU nila.

Pero ang gago ko rin talaga. Pinaghirapan kong kunin pero noong naging akin na, hindi ko inalagaan nang mabuti.

Buti nalang at hindi lang mukha niya ang maganda. Her beauty was more than physical. She had this amazing character. She was truly beautiful. And I know I'm the luckiest man because she chose to be my wife.

I know I'm an idiot for treating her this way. I did a terrible mistake. I was tempted and I made a fuckin' wrong decision. I almost lost her but she never gave up on me. She waited until I found my way back to her. I know how much I hurt her. And everytime she gets hurt, I also do.

And I want to do my best not to lose my way again. But my stupid self still has a few mishaps now and then.

Gumalaw uli siya. This time, she felt my presence and she woke up. She caught me staring at her. She stared back and smiled. "Hey, you're home."

Humiga ako sa tabi niya. I hugged her and said, "Yeh, I'm home."

I hugged my beautiful wife from behind and whispered, "Thank you."

"For what?"

I shrugged, "For being beautiful."

She giggled, "Karl, matagal ko nang alam 'yan."

I laughed, "Talaga? Bakit parang kanina ko lang nalaman?"

"Gago!"

Humigpit ang yakap ko sa kanya, "Love you, too!"
