"Here we go." I mumble under my breath as I stand outside my new school.
It's a huge brick building that looks like it was built a hundred years ago. The words Mulberry High school on the front. I just moved from the UK to The States. Specifically in Maine. I'm more intimidated by the girl who just scoffed at me then I am the school.
I'm wearing a black hoodie with dark blue skinny jeans and my comfy Uggs. Sure, it may be my first day, but I am not a big believer of dressing up for anything. Let alone school.
I yawn while walking in the doors. I was really freaked out last night because of the new school. Unfortunately, I have no friends in the states so my phone is glued to my fingers while I text my best friend.
Liam: Good morning
Me: More like terrible.
Liam: Lighten up! You'll be fine!
Me: I gtg to class bai! Love you!
Liam: Bye! Love you too!
Yes, I do say I love you to my guy best friend. No, it's not weird.
I walk into my first class, Algebra 2, with a teacher named Mr.Harrison.
Ten minutes into the lesson a good looking boy walks into the room. His hair was dark brown in the cute messy way. His eyes were green. He could make any girls knees melt.
"Alec, Brittany, where have you two been?" Mr.Harrison asks the boy I now know as Alec.
"Girls bathroom.." Alec replies scratching the back of his neck uncomfortably.
"Oh! Alec! Why didn't you stop me when I called you he? You should have! He is a pronoun used for men! Which you are clearly not the male gender if you use the girls bathroom!"
Anger runs across Alec's face as he takes the seat behind me.
"New girl?" He whispers his voice tickling my ear.
"Yup. Let me guess, bad boy? Rides a motorcycle?"
"Yup."
"Living a stereotype, huh?"
"I guess? So, what's your name, sweetheart? Mines Alec."
"If I tell you will you stop calling me sweetheart?"
"Don't count on it."
"Aspyn."
"Well, Aspyn, sit with me at lunch."
"Why should I?"
"Because you have no friends and i'm offering."
"Won't your girlfriend be mad?"
"Who? Brittany? She's not my girlfriend."
"So you're a player too. You're like a living stereotype."
"Is that a yes?"
"Do I have a choice?"
"No."
"Then yes."
I refocus on the lesson when the bell rings. I grab my things and stand up. Suddenly a hand laces their fingers with mine. I look beside me to see who it is. Finding that it was Alec.
"What do you think you're doing?" I ask stubbornly.
"Making a move." He replies.
I see all eyes staring at us. I pull my hand back to my side.
"Maybe I didn't want you to make a move." I reply.
"We all know you do." he whispers into my ear, making me melt.

Random"You're beautiful." The man mutters. "Thank-you" I reply, smiling. I couldn't help but deny the words he had mustered. I was no model, actually I was very far from beautiful. My mid length brown hair with red on the ends was thrown into a sloppy bun...
