I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside my window and the smell of bacon frying down stairs. I looked at the clock on the table beside my bed it read 11:05 I hopped out of bed and went down downstairs. I walked in to the kitchen where my mom was cooking bacon and pancakes. "Good morning honey" she said with a smile as she looked up from the bacon she was frying. "Morning mom" I said with a smile in return. I grabbed two pancakes and some bacon and sat down and ate.
I went back up stairs to my room and went to my closet I threw on jean shorts, a pink v-neck and some vans to match. I went to the bathroom loosely curled my hair and did my make up. I went back into my room opened my laptop, turned it on, logged into YouTube and pressed the record button
"Hello there my name is Courtney I'm 18 years old and I live in San Clemente, California. I probably don't come off as the type of person to do work like this but I love to do work at the cancer center about 30 minutes from here. I don't know why I love it so much I just get this feeling inside that I can't describe. I love the fact that no matter what I do I can put a smile on their face and give them hope when they thought they had none." I pressed the button again stopping the video. "Was this the right thing to do for a first video?" "Was YouTube even right for me?" All these questions ran through my head.
I walked over to the table by my bed unplugged my iPhone and went down stairs. I walked to the kitchen. I grabbed a bottle of Gatorade and went to the living room. I turned on the TV and put on Teen Wolf. Not long after I got a text from Ricky *Heeey there my favorite girlllll! Wanna hang with the crew today?* *Where we going?* *Mall sound good?* *Sounds great. I'll be ready in 10 and head over.* I ran upstairs and grabbed my sunglasses off my dresser and ran down the stairs. I told my mom I was going to the mall with the boys.
I lived two houses down from Sam I walked in and went to the kitchen to say hi to Sam's mom. She told me the guys were upstairs in the game room waiting for me. I walked up stairs and opened the door. "Ready to go?" I asked with a big smile "Ready!" They said in unison as they stood up from their game. We all raced down the stars and piled in to Ricky and JC's cars. I got in the car with Kian, Sam, and Jc. I sat in the front seat with JC. I had liked Jc for a while now but no one knew. We got to the mall and got out of the cars and walked in as a group. Jc, Sam, Kian, and I split from the group. We went to get food and to get new Vans from Foot Locker. We walked back through the mall to meet back with the rest of the group. As we were walking I decided to tell JC how I felt.
"Uhh JC.. Can I talk to you..uhm alone?" I said nervously. "Uhhh sureee." We walked over to where the rest of the group couldn't see us "Okay so this isn't easy for me to say but I've liked you for a while now and I was scared to tell you because I didn't know how you would take it." I said with a sigh of relief "Courtney I had no idea. I've liked you for a while now too. If I would've known sooner I wouldve asked you to be my girl." I blushed "Really?" "Really! So uhm would you like to be my girl?" He said putting emphisis on my. "Of course I would Mr. Caylen." I said more excitedly than I should've. We walked back to the group. "Ready to go back to Sam's?" I asked "Yeah but first tell us what you and Jc just talked about." Sam and Kian said at the same time. "We'll talk about it later." Kian and Sam were my best friends. They had been for as long as I could remember. We all walked to the cars and got in. We stopped for food at Panera and Starbucks. When we were back in the car I got a text from Kian who was sitting right next to me in the back seat "I wanna know first ." "You will be the first one. You know you're my favorite."
We got back to Sam's and I ran home to put my stuff in my room and I changed in to some sweats and one of Kian's hoodies he left at my house. I packed a bag with essential girl things and a change of clothes for the next day. I went down stairs and told my mom I was going back to Sam's and was probably staying there. I grabbed my bag and headed back to Sam's. When I got back Kian pulled me up stairs and I told him about me and JC. He smiled and said " I always knew you liked him. I promise i wont tell anyone." "Thanks Kian. I love you" "I love you too beautiful. Now get down there with your man." We walked down stairs and Kian screamed "EXCUSE ME EVERYONE COURTNEY HAS AN ANNOUNCEMENT TO MAKE!" I shot him a evil look and said "Okay JC wanna help me with this one?" "Okay everyone Courtney and I are a thing," "What the hell when did this happen?" Ricky asked "Well if you'd shut you damn mouth I'd be able to tell you." "Meoooooww!" Ricky said sassily. "It happened today at the mall. Turns out we both had liked each other but were too afraid to tell each other." JC told everyone while me and Ricky were fighting. "Awhhh. I always knew you liked each other" Trevor said excitedly. "Yeah yeah yeah." I said. "Movie to celebrate the new couple?" Sam asked "Sounds good to me" Connor and Kian said. He put in 'The Perks Of Being A Wallflower' I fell asleep halfway through the movie. "Wake up babe. Let's go upstairs so you can sleep in an actual bed." "Okay" I said with a slight smile. We headed upstairs and I changed into some basketball shorts and a t-shirt I had left at Sam's for when I slept over. I went to the bathroom and came out to see JC in just his basketball shorts. I walked over to him and traced my finger over his abs and kissed his jawline moving to his lips. Kissing him was just like I had imagined It felt like little fireworks going off inside me. I broke the kiss and crawled into bed JC following. I nuzzled my head into his chest as he pulled me closer and kissed the top of my head "Goodnight Beautiful" I smiled "Good night babe." "I could definitely get used to this." I thought to myself and fell asleep
Today was the best day ever. And i hoped there was many more to come.
