Words For Mikey: Day 15
Probity: integrity and uprightness; honesty.
I used to think that lies were the worst things a person could tell you Michael. But today I realized it was the truth and I wish I could forget that I ever heard it. The doctor said we have to let you go. That means you will never read these letters, you will never hear me tell you how much I love you, you will never know what I had to go through, never know how loved you really are, you will never know this type of pain Michael. Pain you chose to inflict upon me. I will never see your eyes again, never hear your voice again, never see you blush, never hear you beg, never hold you and feel your warmth never again taste you lips against mine, never again have you, never again know love or happiness, never again breathe without you. And that's my choice. But the choice to let you go was not and therefore my choice was made for me. I'll see you in the afterlife my love.
I love you,
Luke
"Luke. C'mon, the doctor wants all of us over here," Instead of hope, dread instantly flooded into the blondes system. It pumped through his veins with each beat of his heart. He was his own destruction without Michael, and nothing could prevent his downfall without the boy.
"I don't want to,"
Calum let out a puff of air with a soft popping noise and nodded. This was only expected from the blonde by now, each time the doctor asked to speak to them all it was always bad news. "It's not really an option, Luke,"
Luke fell silent and pretended Calum wasn't there. This had become his standard fall back when he couldn't come up with some sort of comeback or retort. He wished in those times that he was more like Michael and knew a word for everything, but then he couldn't function anymore because his Michael was barely alive.
"Luke, please. Just, please just come. It might be good news,"
Luke sighed and continued to ignore Calum's presence taking sudden interest in the worn out converse on his feet. His fingers played with the hem of Michael's sweater and he resisted the temptation to pick at a loose string in fear of ruining the sweater accidentally.
"Dammit Luke. Honestly. You know what Ash will do if I have to get him. Please come willingly," Calum was near begging by now, he was desperate not to make any more scenes. He was terrified that the nurses and doctors would be forced to throw them out due to all the scenes.
Luke was adamant in not going anywhere or even straying out of his chair beside Michael's bed. After a few moments of Calum glaring at Luke and Luke drawing on the back of Michael's hand with his pointer finger, Calum caved and left the room to get Ashton. When the curly haired boy entered him and Luke stared each other down for a long moment before Ashton advanced. Luke kissed the back of Michael's hand before dropping it as Ashton grabbed him as gently as possible.
"I told Calum not to bother. I knew that you wouldn't go willingly, but he was trying to avoid making a scene. Personally I think you just crushed him,"
Luke didn't react other than to blink dumbly at the boy in front of him. Ashton knew however, that the second he tried to take him out of the room Luke would start fighting him. As expected the blonde began to struggle in Ashton's arms the moment Calum opened the door to let Ashton carry Luke out.
"Let me go!" Luke cried twisting in Ashton's grip. "Let me back in with him Ash!" people watched as Ashton literally dragged Luke into the doctor's office and tossed him past his mum and Tatiana. Calum slid in behind them and closed the door being them locking it to prevent Luke from escaping. "Fuck off Ashton," Luke seethed, rubbing his shoulder. "Let me out of here,"
