I woke up the next morning super early. After doing the usual routine of getting ready, I walked downstairs like always to eat breakfast. But I remembered I have to explain to my parents about last night.

"Thats right missy. You have some explaining to do."

"Okay. I was working yesterday with Gracie until These two boys we know came in. They asked us if we wanted to go to the movies and we said sure. I forgot to call you but we saw a scary movie. And I almost cried cause I was so scared. But then.. Something happened and they drove us back to starbucks and I drove home." I shortlh explained.

"Maddie. We're not mad that you go out late and stuff. You're almost 18 now. You can go where you want. Just be safe. But we're mad because you didn't call us and tell us that you weren't coming home for dinner." Mom said.

"Fine fine. I'll call you when I'm not coming home." I said.

"Good girl. Now I'm gonna go do some work on my laptop real quick." Dad walked away to his work room.

"So? Who were these two cute guys?" Mom winked.

"Oh gawd." So I explained to mom about Luke and Calum. About how I liked Luke for a long time but he likes Gracie. How Gracie told Luke that I like him. When I met Calum, and our flirting. The old lady who thought we were dating and what she said. The movies and the holding hand moment. And the hugging. Oh of course the car walking.

"Wow! Sounds like you like him." Mom smiled.

"Ewww whaaaaaat? Hell no. He's not my type. He's ugly and a jerkface. But... you're not mad?" I asked.

"Why would I be?"

"I mean you and dad are pretty strict about me and boys.... stuff." I said.

"Maddie, you're grown up now. And he sounds a like an amazing guy. I mean the fact that he let you hug him and he walked you to your car. Thats cute!" She told me.

"Yeah but he said he didn't want me to get scared and cry like a crybaby. He's a jerk. I don't even like him one bit. Definitely not my type."

"Of course you do. And the more you see him the more you'll like him more." Mom gave me my breakfast and I quickly ate it.

"Thanks but no thanks mom." I said.

"Good luck honey." She winked and did the dishes.

What does she mean by that?

I grabbed my bag and walked to my car. Crap! I'm gonna be late. Starbucks here I come.

I walked into starbucks and saw Calum sitting down while Luke was watching Gracie.

"Maddie!!!" Gracie waved.

"Hey." I laughed and went to the back. I wore my green apron and talked to Cheryl.

"You're late missy." She laughed.

"Sorry! I'll stay for 5 minutes after my shift."

"Good. Now something weird about that guy over there with dark brown hair. He walked in and looked around confused. And he sat down not ordering a drink. I think he's waiting for you." She winked.

"Okay okay." I laughed and started taking orders. Calum was in line waiting for his turn. Cutee. I mean ugly he looks fat today. What is wrong with you Maddie he's not even close to fat.

Soon it was his turn.

"Hey." He smiled.

"Morning." I replied.

"Can I get a caramel frappe?"

"Oh different choice today." I tapped in the information.

"Yeah." He laughed.

"It was fun yesterday." MADDIE WHY ARE YOU BRINGING UP ABOUT YESTERDAY?!

"Yeah. Hearing you scream was so funny."

"Jerkface." I shook my head but laughed right after.

I wrote down Jerkface on his cup and handed it to Gracie. She looked at the name and smirked. After getting his drink, Calum looked at the cup and smiled. He pulled out his phone.

Calum's POV.

After getting my drink, I looked down at the cup. Maddie wrote down Jerkface and right underneath it, it was her number. I pulled out my phone and saved her to my contacts. Cry baby (:

After my shift, I talked to Gracie for a bit and went home. I don't want mom getting mad at me again for not coming home for dinner. I checked my phone and saw a text message from an unknown number.
I opened it.

I unlocked my door and walked in. As usual, mom was in the kitchen cooking dinner.

"Hey mom."

"Oh hey sweetie! Dinner in 10. Go change."

"Okay." I ran upstairs and grabbed some clothes. I took a quick shower..

While waiting for my hair to dry, I pulled out my phone and just texted people. Ashton texted me.
