The day dragged on. I did my usual of tiding rooms and checking in on the long term guests to make sure they were all happy. It was only in the evening when I went looking for Jenna, to help me carry some designer dresses from the laundrette that I saw him. He was standing at the reception desk talking to one of the receptionists. I started walking closer, careful not to drop the dresses. I pretended to be busily doing something on one of the tables near him. I strained my ears to see if I could hear what they were saying.
"The manager is unavailable to speak at the minute sir. Can I give her a message for you?" the receptionist was talking to him as if he were just another guest and not the son of one of the richest men in the country.
"No just tell her Jordan Maxwell was looking for her." He sighed. Just as I was about to walk past him and in to the cover of one of the staff rooms. He turned, walking right in to me and sending the dresses in my hands flying. Two of them landing only a meter away but the other lighter of them went flying all the way across the marble floor. I bent quickly to pick up the dresses mumbling sorry.
"Would you watch where your going next time. You could have broken something." He snapped at me as I stood back up. I glanced at his face to see if he was joking but there wasn't even the slightest bit of a smile there. I made a quick dive to go get the other dress not listening to what ever else he had to say. After giving the dresses a check over to see if they were damaged or dirty in any way I made my way back over towards the staff door near the reception desk. I was lucky the dresses were intact and he hadn't recognised me.
just as I was signing out for the day. I got called to the managers office. I knocked once before being told to come in.
"Take a seat Miss Carballo, we need to discuss some of the events involving you recently." Oh know she must know about the dresses and the ball, I'm going to be dead. Don't panic just keep a straight face and deny everything. I told my self. I really have to stop watching films were they say that it's so cliché. Taking a deep breathe I went to begin explaining but I was cut of by a knock on the door. Thank god was all I could say.
"What did you just say." Oops I said hadn't meant to say that out loud. "Nothing important."
"Okay well I guess the only suitable punishment for you is to have to work double time tomorrow and do some extra work for me. Consider your self lucky that Mister Maxwell didn't want you fired. You need to be more careful, people as wealthy as him can get you fired for even looking side ways at them. Now go I have more important stuff to be dealing with."
"Thank you, I will be more careful next time." I said getting up from my chair and heading towards the door.
"Good and can you tell Kevin to come on in."
After I had finally made it home I rang Jenna and told her what happened. We didn't talk for long as she had to go put Ciara, her little niece to bed. Her brother was out for the night with his wife so she was babysitting for them. After hanging the phone up I remembered that I meant to ask her if she still had the masks from the party. I made a mental note to do that tomorrow and headed straight to bed.

"I want to speak to the manager." I was trying not to lose it and start shouting at the receptionist but she looked nervous enough as it was and I the paps would just love a story about me losing my patience at some receptionists.
"The manager is unavailable to speak at the minute sir. Can I give her a message for you?" She sound like a broken record at this stage since that seemed to be all she could say.
"No just tell her Jordan Maxwell was looking for her." I sighed. It would just have to wait since I didn't want to have to explain everything to someone who would probably tell all her friends. As I turned around to head back to my car this person came out of no where and came crashing in to me. The dresses she had been carrying flew out of her hands and landed on the ground. As she went to pick them up I noticed she was in a maids outfit for this hotel. She muttered something but I wasn't listening.
"Would you watch where your going next time. You could have broken something." I spat. I had finally lost it. The staff in this hotel were starting to get under my skin. Oh the manager was going to hear about this now. I stormed out of the hotel I needed to go for a drive to clear my head. I couldn't stop thinking about the girl from the party. No one has ever walk away from me like that before with out coming running back again to be with me. I didn't know were I was planning on going, I just let the car guide me.
I pulled the car over and just sat there for a while looking out at the city. I loved this place, it was both private and peaceful. It felt like you were so far away from the city but you could still see it all the same. I had discovered this place as a child when my mother had got my father to build a cabin up here for her to come and relax with me away from the paparazzi.
It was late when I finally headed home. Will up by the cabin I had been thinking about that girl in the maids uniform, there was something about her that didn't seen right. I had tried shaking the idea off but I couldn't. I had talked to the manager to but she didn't have any records of a Miss Carvello staying in the hotel. She said she would check with any staff working that night if they had seen anyone by such a name but I had asked her not to cause even though I wanted to find this girl I was trying to keep this as low profile. If every girl knew then it would make finding "HER" harder then necessary.
I was going to find her, no matter what and then I could forget about her as if she never excisted. With this in mind I dived on to my double bed and drifted off to sleep.
