The Start of a UHC

"Here we go," I said to myself as I dropped down into the world. Facing twenty three other players made me a bit nervous, but I had a plan.

That plan was crushed. When I looked around, I saw what could have been the worst spawn point ever. No trees, no animals, and no water. Just one big rock. "This is going to be interesting," I said to myself.

Playing UHC (a.k.a Ultra Hard Core) is a big challenge. Every heart of damage can't be healed unless you eat a golden apple. You can only make golden apples with gold. You also need apples, and where do apples come from, trees! That is why this spawn point was probably the worst spawn point ever.

After walking around for about fifteen minutes, and loosing half a heart, I found the forest. The only problem was that I was not the only person in the forest.

After I got a wooden pick, I was attacked by a person with a wooden sword. I tried fighting back, but it was clear that he had a better chance of winning this fight then I did. After all, his sword did more damage.

While running away, I started to come up with a plan to kill him, or at least get him to stop attacking me.

When I saw the edge of the forest, I knew I had a chance. As I raced up the mountain, I looked at my health. I only had four hearts, and was loosing hunger fast. I hoped my idea wouldn't get me killed, but I knew that was a possibility. As I neared the top, I started to rethink my plan. I didn't have time to think of a new one, because before knew it, I was at the top.

This could go two ways. I got the first hit, and he fell to his death, or he hit me, and I would fall to my death.
Luck was on my side though, and the guy chasing me went flying off the mountain.

That lightening striking where he fell told me that I might have a chance to win this thing.

I went back to the forest, and made a wooden tool set. I cut down trees, killed cows, and got myself some stone tools. I felt ready for this round. With one last glance at the outside world, I went back to the mountain.

That is when night fell. I started to run to the mountain.

I was almost there, but an arrow impaled the tree in front of me. I looked, and saw the skeleton.

I didn't even notice the creeper sneaking up behind me. When I heard the hiss, I ran. I was blasted forward, but got lucky and survived. Then, the skeleton shot me again. There goes another heart.

I got to the mountain, and started digging. I found some coal, and made torches. I stayed down there for a good five minutes before I found iron.

After I finished mining the iron, I heard lightning. The chat said that twenty two people were left. I just kept mining.

I got just the right amount of iron for a pick, a chest plate, and an iron sword. I felt like I was doing well. I was so wrong.

I broke one more block. That one block was a bit scary for me. That block was so scary, because there wasn't a block after it. I had mined into a ravine.
