A steamy scene towards the middle!

Still Daf’s POV

I woke up the next morning feeling unusually refreshed. Dinner last night with the Munoz’s was great! It was like the last few months had never even happened. For that, I was truly grateful. We did have to tell his parents that we were together. Their reaction was what shocked me the most. His mom stood up and almost shouted, “FINALLY!” Luke and I just laughed. Luke’s Dad, John, just smiled and gave Luke a pat on the back.

I sat up slowly stretching my arms and legs in the process, inadvertently yawning in the process. I walked in to my bathroom and peed. I mean is it just me or is that the first thing you do every morning? I have to pee as soon as I wake up. I brushed my teeth, washed my face with this new face wash Clarice bought me, and brushed out my wavy hair and clipped back a portion with some jeweled bobby pins. I went back to my closet and scanned through my new clothes. I decided on a cute denim skirt that went mid-thigh and a nice yellow halter top that really brought out my natural sun tan. I slipped on some black sandals. I applied light foundation, some blush, and mascara. I really don’t wear much makeup but I thought I’d put on a little eye shadow for the first day of school. I looked in my full length mirror on the wall and took my image in. I actually looked attractive to say the least. The skirt showed off my toned legs to a reasonable extent. The only thing missing was a little lip gloss which I applied and slipped in my purse for later re-application.

The doorbell rang and I ran to get it knowing it’d be Luke. Clarice was already at the door talking to a very cheery Luke. I smiled at the sound of his voice. When I reached them his eyes flickered to my face then to my legs. I saw his adam’s apple bulge as he swallowed air. He said, “Good morning baby! That skirt…is a little…too uhh…short no?” I said in my most sing song voice, “Nope!”

“Well I beg to differ. I don’t want to be fighting the guys off on the very first day. You do look gorgeous though.” I smiled at how sweet he was. “Thanks baby! Good morning.” I quickly pecked him before inviting him inside. We went to the kitchen that had aroma emitting from it. Clarice had cooked pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. It all smelled so delicious and by the first bite I’d realized it tasted even better. Luke and I quickly ate and thanked Clarice before leaving to school in his car.

We arrived and walked out hand in hand. The first to notice were some of the football jocks who slapped Luke on the back making a few inappropriate comments. To those he gave nasty glares and warned them to respect me. I smiled at that. He was always a little overprotective. What I used to find annoying, I now found attractive.

I then saw Julian as he pulled up in his F-150. Luke noticed too and put his arm around my waist…tight. Julian just smiled widely as he walked over and said in a very cheery tone, “good morning Daffy. You look exceptionally gorgeous today!”

I blushed at his confidence. “Thanks,” I muttered. “Seriously what’s up with the nickname?”

Julian chuckled, “I guess it just sounds right. And it’s very fitting! I like it!”

I sighed, “Well I don’t know if Luke does…”

“Do you?” he asked.

“I don’t know! I don’t really care to be honest!”

“Fine then it stays.” He said smiling.

Luke then huffed and when I looked over at him, he was throwing daggers at Julian with his eyes.

Julian left and went over to talk to some of the other guys and Luke said, “I’m starting to not like that guy.” I could hear the frustration in his voice. I pecked him reassuringly and said, “Baby, its ok. I’m yours and you are mine. Nothing can change that right?” He nodded and cupped my face in his hands giving me another tender and sweet kiss. It made my heart rate increase at just how gentle he was. Goodness, I’m so in love with this boy. He looked really handsome in his khaki shorts and white Hollister t shirt today, and it was kind of turning me on.
