THE ORDINANCE OF 3049
Due to the scarcity of the human population, the Councilliary of the lunar colony of Selenar implant this law: When an individual living in Selenar reaches the appropriate age of 20, he or she will be paired with a mate of the opposite gender unless they are in possession of certain genes that prohibited from the gene pool that will be revealed after the Genetics Test also at age 20. Any individual in possession with these genes will be either exterminated or sterilized.
The change of a mate is not permissive and is hereby illegal by Selenar law. Any government official who changes the mate of one or more person(s) is susceptible to the death penalty.
Any uprisings, protests, or escapes because of this system will be put down using full military force automatically authorized by the government with the passing of this ordinance.
