It all happened the night of Delphinia's birthday party.

Maria had no brothers, but a sister, and Maria was the oldest.

Delphinia was her younger sister, ages 5.

Everyone loved Delphinia, she was talented and gorgeous, sweet to all the grown-ups, but was horrible to Maria.

She had long brown curls and big brown eyes, rosy, chubby cheeks and a sweet voice.

Maria had brown hair, but it didn't curl, it's long and straight and stringy, but her eyes are a pretty shade of blue like her dad's.

So they were all walking together with their mum, Delphinia at the front, her curls swinging.

"Where are we going, Mum?" Whined Maria.

"It's a surprise."

"You can tell me, mum." Delphinia said eagerly.

She liked being singled out and treated like she was special.

"Oh please tell us!" Begged Maria.

Delphinia imitated her.

"None of you are knowing. It's a surprise."

"Let's guess, then." Maria piped up.

"Carluccios."

"Costa."

"Cafe Rouge."

"The chip shop."

"Be quiet, we're almost there!" Their mum sighed.

They walked around the next corner, towards a restaurant.

"Freddy Fazbear's pizzeria?" Wailed Delphinia. "It's so creepy!"

"I think it's awesome." Snapped Maria.

"Shut up, twerp. You don't know anything about anything." Hissed Delphinia.

"You're the twerp." Maria.

"Mum! Maria's calling me horrible horrible names!" Wailed Delphinia, looking about to cry.

"Don't fight, girls." Her mum sighed.

She knew if she told Delphinia off, she'd have a tantrum.

"I'm not. She's a bully." Maria shot back.

"No, you're an old pig face who has no friends!" Snapled Delphinia maliciously.

"I hate younger sisters." Maria muttered.

"Mum! She's whispering nasty things about me!" Delphinia whined, as they went in through the doors.

"Don't fight!"

Delphinia shot her a smug smile, and Maria felt the urge to push her over.

Delphinia spent the whole time charming the adults, while Maria sat alone.

Then a man in a Freddy outfit came over, with 4 other kids following him.

"Hia kid, you want some cake?"

"Yeah." Gasped Maria, eagerly.

"Come with me, them."

The five kids followed him excitedly into a room at the back.

"Mum, Maria's running off without me!" She heard Delphinia wail.

They followed him through the darkness.

"Where's the cake?" Demanded a little boy.

"First, tell me your names." The man said, taking off his suit to reveal a man in a purple uniform.

"Angus."

"Jack."

"Violet."

"Maria."

"Will."

"Now shut your eyes, children. Shut your eyes..."

They obediently shut their eyes.

"Angus! No peeking! Anyone who peeks will get no cake."

Then he drew a nice from his bag, and stabbed Will, the first child, in the chest.

Will screamed and spluttered.

Maria's eyes flew open, and the other four started screaming hysterically and ran away.

Maria ran into the shadows and crouched, cowering.

She heard the screams of the other children, trapped alone in the room, where noone could hear them.

"Come out, last child. I know you're in here!" Mocked the purple man.

Maria whimpered, then clapped her hands over her mouth.

She heard footsteps and soft laughter, then someone grabbed her shoulder and she felt an agonising tearing pain in her chest.

She screamed and thrashed, barely able to breath.

She felt so weak..

Her vision was fading..

Then, darkness.
