Surviving earth-chapter:8

I walk to school alone Ryan was going to be late, he has to go to the dentist. Sucks for him! I see Lily and i walk up go her, she begins to walk faster.

"Whats wrong Lil?" I ask her. She pauses them turns to me.

"Do you really want to know?" She asks looking terrified at me.

"Um i guess i do."

"I say what you were doing by the water yesterday." She starts. "What are you?" She asks, her eyes getting big. I look down.

"Uh." Is all i can say, im so shocked.

"How?" I ask not looking up.

"Well my dad likes to go fishing. He made me go with him and we split up and went along the shore and i say you and your family. Care to explain?"

"Um not really." I say to the ground.

"What are you? You aren't human." She states.

"Ok." I start. "Well i really dont want to freak you out."

"I dont think i could ever get freaked out. I have a brother."

"Oh yeah i have three!" I say hoping we will change the subject.

"So they were the guys you were with?"

"Yeah."

"So you don't want to explain at all?"

"Ok i swear please don't tell anyone about what i am about to say to you!"

"Ok i swear, all my life people have been keeping secrets from me, even my family so i just cant take it anymore." She says sitting on the curb. I feel kinda bad for her.

"Im sorry." I sit down next to her.

"Ok fine you got me. Im not human." I start, she looks up.

"Im not from here. Earth. I mean. Im from another planet called Avèlan. My 'family' isnt my family, there actually not even related to me, they are others from my planet and us five came here because our population is at risk."

"Wow. Im sorry about your whole population thing." She says quietly.

"Yeah its fine there are more groups of five coming so were not alone or anything."

"Thats good well if you dont mind me asking, whats happening to planet that you had to come here?" She asks looking at me.

"Well a sickness from one of our neighboring planets traveled to ours, the infected ones kill the uninfected."

"Woah."

"Yeah the infected traveled to earth trying to kill us. But once we come to earth the illness cant be contagious."

"Im so sorry." She says and i can tell that she didnt want to hear that. I look at my watch and see that school starts in 30 minutes.

"Its not your fault." I say.

"I know its not but i feel kinda bad."

"Well dont its nothin really." I say.

"Nothin?! Your an alien!"

"Well maybe its somethin, but please dont tell anyone, it could put me and Ryan and Emily and Cameron and Tony in risk of dying." I say.

"Woah its that serious?"

"Yeah its pretty serious actually."

"Oh i promise!" She says happily.

"Now c'mon lets go to school."
