Declaration of independence

Preamble

I am Declaring my Independence from the haters, I feel like this needs to be a real thing since people feel the need to hurt others for fun or personal gain. Haters come in many forms and sizes these days but they all do the same job, to hate. I would like to go one day without seeing a hater in high school or even online.

New Theory Of Government

My natural rights would be those of the regular constitution, thanks to john locke, with added exceptions like; the right to sneeze and not offend someone, the right to ignore your hateful, disrespectful comments and not be called a name for ignoring you, the right to be comfortable in my own skin and not be judged, the right to be recognized as an individual not a label, the right to say or type a neutral comment without someone coming after me, the right to defend myself from haters and not have more people hate on me for defending myself, the right to say something intelligent in class and not get laughed at, the right to live my life truthfully without rumors or lies spread about me, and finally the right to have a free mind and not discriminate against anyone for anything. Hater come in many forms like cyber-bullying, with hateful mean comments on any social media, in person, when someone makes fun of you for being smart or different, and even friends who whisper and make fun of you behind your back giving away your secrets and your trust. Personally i have not run into any real haters but i've had friends that suffered greatly, i've seen what it does to people and it's not pretty, it's hard to imagine a human being as you and i, that wants to make people feel this way, make them feel like they want to cause self-harm, or even suicide. making them depressed and the ones around them sad. Haters are criminals who go without real punishments in my mind, they are the whispers in our heads that tell us about our insecurities, they are the thoughts in the back of your mind screaming at you to jump! with this, the only solution is to declare my independence from the haters and be done with it for good!

List Of Grievances

I want this separation specifically for these 5 reasons; For one I would definitely like to feel good about myself and not depressed. Secondly, I would like to keep my insecurities to myself without people calling them out in public judging me. Thirdly, I would like to focus on my school work and not try to please people who aren't fine with the way I am. Forthly, I am sick and tired of having to beat around the bush, these days you can say hi and it will offend someone. Lastly and most importantly I would love if no one caused self-harm or committed suicide because someone made a snarky comment. it's not funny to joke about death, and you never know what someone is going through, they could be struggling with their personal life, and your little comment would add to their own thoughts of telling them to jump, and remember you probably not the first person to insult them.

Tried To Resolve Our Differences

I've tried to work things out with nice polite comments telling you to stop that's not nice, holding my tongue, and i've even stepped in the way of you bullying a friend, Everytime no matter in what form, you persist with or without encouragement even without a response, and every time you continue to make worst and worst comments dancing on the edge of the line you're about to cross.

Formal Declaration

From here and until my death i declare my independence from you, haters. I will never again have to fear you and I will be free to live my life with not worrying about my friends. I encourage others to do the same, get rid of the monsters under your bed, remember it's not just you hurting, its the closest people around you that feel the same way you do. With my freedom I will be ready to help others out with these same issues, they say stop bullying and the adults think it's gone, but no, it's much much worst, disguised as friends, bullying will always be apart of school, but the point when bully turns into hater, where fun turns into war, when horseplaying turns into self-harm, where your friends turn into your enemies, that is when it's been taken to far and even when it's a joke, the person it's directed to may take it seriously. you can't control how people take or perceive your words, you can only filter yourself and hope for the best. Remember we are a world of imperfect people expecting everyone else to be perfect. It just doesn't work. In talent competitions people say, "We want world peace." Well, you have to stop it at the roots, the narrow minded people, Narrow minded people are the heart and soul of any conflict, they are the ones who start wars, the bullies, the stubborn, the arguers, the judgmental, the ones that need laws to tell them things that should be common sense like gay marriages, what's next? will they want to know if they have voting rights as well? Stop trying to play god. What gives a human the right to judge your self-worth and tell you who you are. God is the only one who can judge you don't let anyone stop you. In high school, just remember don't try to please people who you will never see again after 4 years. your real friends will love you for yourself. So thank you to the people are aren't afraid to be themselves and stay true. Thank you for existing and empowering others. Thank you for being you.
