Portfolio

Chapter 1

"We must all work together on this project. Please get into groups of six." Immediately, we all group together. Melissa, Lottie, Aidan, Joshua, Simon and me, Katie. Melissa is average height with brown hair and brown eyes, Lottie has long blond hair and brown eyes. Joshua has blond hair and green eyes and Simon has brown eyes and brown hair. I have long brown hair and blue eyes. Then there is Aidan. Aidan has green eyes and black hair, he is tall and toned. The problem with a group as close as us is that if a crush develops in the group, it doesn't stay a secret for long. "Katie? You ok?" Aidan asks me as I sit down next to him. "Yeah why?" I reply. He shrugs and I decide to drop it. Aidan and I are very close. If I have a secret, he is the first to know. Even when I started my period! He was there for me and keeping... stuff in his bag. 

"Right so everyone. Katie, you are on photos. Melissa, you are on research. Joshua, you can draw. Simon you are on writing everything up. I'll do the designing." Lottie takes control of everything. I don't know what we would do without her in this group. "Erm, Lottie? What do you want me to do?" Aidan asks. Lottie smiles and looks at me with a glint in her eye. Oh no, what is she doing?  "You can model for Katie. This is photography, the history of photography. We need to create a portfolio of work, so, Aidan will be modelling men through the ages. You ok with that?" I turn to look at Aidan and see him gulp. I blush red and grip my camera. This could end in everything I have always wanted, or a complete and utter disaster.

"Katie. You haven't touched your coffee is something wrong?" I look up at Melissa. I nod and sigh loudly. "Melissa, promise me you won't tell anyone." She nods and looks at me with worry in her eyes. "I think I'm in love with Aidan." Melissa gasps and closes her eyes. Aidan is her brother, so if anything were to happen it would be really awkward. "How long?" She whisperers. I inhale and close my eyes. "About a year." I whisper back. I feel my eyes tearing up. This is the first time I have ever opened up to anyone about my personal feelings "Oh Katie. Why didn't you tell me before?" I let out a long sigh of relief. "Oh Melissa, thank god you understand! I've wanted to get it out for a very long time but I didn't know how to tell you, please don't tell Aidan!" Just then, a black haired boy with green eyes walked through the door. "Don't tell me what?" I twist my head around sharply as Aidan drops down onto the sofa next to me and his arm snakes round my shoulders. "What's up Katie? Something you want to tell me?" I look into his eyes that are now filled with laughter. I shake my head at him and he lets it go. Maybe Aidan is the one person I can't tell, but also the one I want to the most.
