Farewell

There comes a time in the dark of night
Where we face our fears without a fright
Where we stand up tall and bravely say
I will not run another day

I will not fear
I will not hide
I will not hear
I wont confide

My friends have left, my lover too
I hold to nothing, my breathing grew
Slow and weary treading on
The minutes by, the days are long

Weary
Worried
Weak and
Worn

I leave my bed, the white sheets cold
The stories written, left untold
So write for me the ending dear
As death draws closer, ever near
