Chapter 1 - Some poison please?

"Wake up lazy bums!" Beth shouted from behind, I was definitely not in a mood for waking up. 

"Get out! Let me sleep, you cranky alarm clock!" I somehow managed to kick her thigh a little so she moved away, guess that was enough.

She put her hand on her hip with a neutral expression on her face. "You can't do any better can you? I can just straight away take a picture of your drooling face and post it on Facebook right now!" 

I groaned and got out of bed finally. "Why didn't your parents just take you with them?" I said as walked towards the bathroom.

"Honey because even they knew this house needs to light up." For the past one week my day had been starting from one of her stupid sarcastic comments which really does bug me, but now I'm getting used to it. To be honest having your closest friend with you almost all the time is really fun, we watch Netflix till late night but she somehow manages to wake up early and I on the other hand can't get up from my warm and toasty bed.

"Whatever," I replied and closed the bathroom door. I quickly brushed my teeth and washed my face, I put some concealer under my eyes to hide my dark circles which nowadays almost every teen is having and just a little eyeliner with Chapstick and I was done. As soon as take off my comfy pajamas off I my legs start shaking and I quickly change into my black tights and a green tank top.

"Ten minutes left are you getting ready for prom or what?" Beth shouts behind the door.

"Coming" I scream from inside and as soon I open the door Beth had already changed her clothes. Like always she was looking stunning after all she was in competition with Katy.

We quickly go down and grab our toast and head outside after saying our byes to mum. We enter my Honda and I start the engine. Beth messes with radio when she stops on one station which was playing The Fray. The whole ride we were trying to harmonise which was unsuccessful.

When we reached the parking spot I quickly parked the car and we rushed inside we were already late.

My first period was chemistry and running down the whole corridor I finally reached on time. I quickly sat in my seat which was the last bench. I didn't have any friends in this class so it was always the best to sit near the window.

After a few minutes professor walked in with someone, it was definitely someone new. As he entered just like always we all were staring at him. He introduced himself , he said he was Harry or something like that I was just trying to take in his appearance. How those green eyes were so noticed and his curly hair pushed back. But after a few minutes of observation I started looking out of the window.

"You may sit with Sophie" I heard and before I realised here he was sharing my desk. As he sat I gave him a tight smile and and he smiled and nodded in return. I knew this was weird and pretty awkward.

We didn't utter a single word during the period for which I was thankful but I just didn't understand the fact that he was continuously smiling which started bugging me. So I broke the silence "Is there something on my face?" I asked yeah right that was my sassiness at it's best.

"What?" He asked in his British accent still smiling.

"Dude why are you smiling I don't get what's so amusing about sulphuric acid " I said and all he did was raise his eyebrow and looked away. Oh boy that was enough to piss me wasn't it?

I ignored the awkwardness and looked down at my book so now all I could do was just waited to get away from this jerk. Finally after ten minutes the bells from the heavens rang and we all headed out.

"Nice to meet you candy" I heard Harry just as I was about to leave the room. Candy? That's the most ridiculous petname I've ever heard. "Seriously candy? What are you some Romeo from a chick flick?" He didn't answer and just chuckled looking down. Oh my gosh that smile was something, the way his dimples showed it was adorable.

Suddenly something clicked and I realised that everyone has left except me. I immediately rushed to my locker where I saw Jake standing. A smile was plastered on his have which made me grin I quickly over to him and he gave me a hug. "Hey Soph," he said as he pulled away from the hug so that I could face him.

He was not my boyfriend he just became my great friend in a short period of time. He is everything you want in a boyfriend, he even fought for me once which kinda made us best friends. But he was behaving a little cheesy today as far as I was seeing.

"Hey Jakey! Something special happened today I guess," I asked as I was taking out my folders from my locker. "Not really I'm just happy to have you," he said and then I realised where this conversation was leading so looked at him...

"Cut the crap. Which homework?" I asked. 

"Maths!" He pleaded, I nodded and told him to come today at 5. He hugged me tightly and then some commented from behind "I always thought that you guys have this sexual tension. You proved me wrong there is no tension everything's on the table." We both knew it was Beth. Jake looked back and said, "What do you want BB?" He was irritated but we three are Bffs, we can't stay angry for long.

"Some poisoning please?" She said as we noted her sarcasm and I raised my eyebrow and we started walking.
