The day had finally come for Albus to go to Hogwarts. Harry, Ginny, Lily, James and Albus all made their way to platform 9 3/4. Justin had stayed at his house. He had no interest in the kids whatsoever. Lily held onto Ginnys hand as they ran through the wall onto the platform. James hopped onto the train as he said bye to his parents and Lily. Albus turned to face Harry.
"Dad. Im scared. What if I'm sorted into Slytherin?" He asked with worry written all over his face.
"Albus Severus Potter. You were named after two of the most amazing professors at Hogwarts, and one of them happened to be a Slytherin." Harry said looking at his son in the eye. "But the sorting hat also takes your opinion to heart, well not literally but you get what i mean." Harry chuckled making Albus smile.
"I love you Dad."
"I love you too Albus." As He hugged his son. "Now, you'd better get on the train, it will be leaving shortly."
Albus nodded and hopped onto the train. He waved to his parents and sister and then went to find a carriage. It took him a while but he eventually found an empty one. He sat down and made himself comfortable, ready for the ride ahead. After a few minutes, a platinum blond haired boy, who happened to also be in 1st year, came into the carriage.
"Hello. Mind if i sit in here?" He asked, smiling at Albus.
"Not at all." He replied, returning the smile.
"Im Scorpius. Scorpius Malfoy." The boy said. Albus imediately recognised the name but couldn't think where he had heard it from.
"Nice to meet you Scorpius, I'm Albus. Albus Potter." They both shook hands and sat in silence for a few minuets. Albus then decided to strike up a convosation with the boy.
"So What house are you hoping to get into?" He asked.
"My father was in Slytherin and so was the rest of the Malfoy's but i have a feeling I'm not the Slytherin type. What about you?"
"Gryffindor, hopefully. My entire family was in that house so I'm hoping to get into it as well."
"Even if we are not in the same houses Albus, please can we stay friends?"
"Of course!"
"Great! So my father told me a lot about the professors-"

The two boys walked into the great hall together, surrounded by the rest of the first years. The sorting hat sang its song and then the sorting began!
Professor Mcgonagall started reading out names as they headed up to the seat to be put into their houses.
"Bones Nicole."
The girl looked quite confident as she walked up to where the sorting hat was. It was placed on her head. The hat muttered to itself for a few seconds and then without any warning-
"GRYFFINDOR!"
The hall broke out into cheers as she made her way onto the Gryffindor table. More people were sorted.
"HUFFLEPUFF!"
"GRYFFINDOR!"
"SLYTHERIN!"
"RAVENCLAW!"
"SLYTHERIN!"
Until Mcgonagall spoke another name.
"Potter Albus."
The hall went quiet as they watched the son of Harry Potter sit on the stool to be sorted.
The hat was placed on his head. It again, started muttering to itself when all of a sudden-
"GRIFFINDOR!"
Albus beamed as he made his way over to the table that his older brother was sat at.
A few more sortings passed until-
"Malfoy Scorpius."
The room again went quiet. You could tell by the atmosphere that people were half scared. People automatically assumed he was a Slytherin. But why would they be wrong? Draco Malfoy, former death eater was his father.
The hat didn't need much time to think.
"GRYFFINDOR!" It shouted. Gasps echoed around the room as he Scorpius made his way over to the table to sit with Albus, he sat down with a wide smile.
"I was hoping for Gryffindor." He said to Albus.
"Glad you did. Now we will have most lessons together!" Albus said excitedly, clapping his hands together.
"I just hope my father doesn't mind that I'm not in Slytherin." Scorpius sighed looking down in his lap.
"Don't worry Scorp. Im sure he will except it. My dad told me that Gryffindor and Slytherin are pretty much the same in their own ways. Im not entirely sure what he meant but he knows what he's talking about." Albus said re-assuring his friend.
"Thanks Albus."
"No problem."
