Chapter 3: New Gear

I woke up in my bed. How did I get here?

I saw Laurance reading in his bed. I didn't wanna disturb him, but he noticed I woke up anyways.

"Good morning." He says, putting his book down.

"Laurance did you know how I got to my bed?" I lowly ask him.

"Well after you kissed me and declared your passionate love for me, my lips were so perfect you passed out. So I took you to your bed." He tells me

"WHAT?! No way!" I scream, blushing quite red.

He chuckles. "I'm kidding Aphmau. You just passed out after we helped August and his family. I did carry you to your bed though."

"Oh thank Irene."

"I know, I'd be pretty happy too if someone like me carried me to my bed."

"No! Not that! I'm happy that we didn't make out."

"Then why are you blushing?"

I hadn't noticed I was blushing. "I-I'm not blushing. What are you doing here anyways? Shouldn't you be out there, you know, guarding the place?" I ask, blushing less.

"I like to read for a few minutes before heading out. I had just woken up like 5 minutes ago. Why did you wake up so early?" He responded.

"I'm expecting the new gear from Cadenza today. She said she was bringing it early." I responded. "I'm gonna go wait by the wall. Could you please go check on the family that came in yesterday?"

"Sure thing." He replied. He went over to the house we put them in and I went over to the wall. Travis was keeping watch. We talked for about an hour when we saw Cadenza and her guard Vincent come in.

"Open the gate." I said. I hugged Cadenza and greeted Vincent. We all went into the shack and set up a table, and she put a chest on the table.

Cadenza: I am so excited to show you the armor I don't know where to begin!

She opens the chest.

Cadenza: Here I have the guards armor.

She grabs an iron chest piece, leggings, and helmet. The chest has a Phoenix spreading its wings painted on it.

Travis: It looks great!

Aaron: Could I keep my hoodie on while I use it?

Cadenza: Oh, Aaron! I almost forgot, I made different design for you that lets you keep your hoodie on while wearing the armor. Not that it will matter anyways with the helmet.

Laurance: Wait, I see three sets of armor on the table, one's missing.

Cadenza: Nope! Here you go.

She gets out another set of armor, but this one has the phoenix painted blue, and it has diamond helmet instead of an iron one, and handed it to Laurance.

Cadenza: When I heard my baby brother was being the one getting the special Head Guard, i wanted to stand out and make it the best.

Laurance: Thanks Cadenza.

He hugs her. The guys then go change

Katelyn: So were is our clothes? I'm tired of this stupid broken clothes.

Cadenza: Oh right! Katelyn, Aphmau told me you wanted a very puffy and cute dress.

Katelyn: APHMAU!

I couldn't resit but tonlet out a big laugh.

Cadenza: But I knew it was just Aphmau messing you. You always say you miss your old armor
