The Doctor's point of view

Save her... Save Bad Wolf...

I stood frozen, trying to comprehend what I had just read.

Bad Wolf.

Rose Tyler.

Save her.

After several seconds, the information made sense. Rose Tyler was in danger, and she needed me. She needed me more than ever before. I scanned to see where the message was from, but no definitive results came up. That meant that it wasn't from this universe, and if someone had managed to send it from Rose's world, there must have been a way. I leaped into action, pressing buttons, and flipping levers and turning dials, in a frantic mad dance around the console. All I needed to get through to the other Universe was a link, and now I had one. The engines whirred into action, lights flicking throughout the room. Pulling the computer screen towards me again, I re-read the message. The T.A.R.D.I.S lurched to the right, then to the left, as she fought against where I was taking her.

"Come on!" I yelled, hitting several more buttons. Red light flashed throughout the room, and the floor beneath me shook violently.

"Oh no you don't!" Slamming another lever down, the T.A.R.D.I.S thrashed me around, and threw me to the ground. Everything was jolting so quickly, it was impossible to stand again, so I crawled towards the oscillator. Shakily pulling it down, the lights faded to darkness. The oscillator transported the energy I didn't need, and transferred it to the engines, giving them an extra boost. The rumbling beneath my body deafening. I laid there on the floor, waiting for it to stop. It took a little while, but eventually, the engines fell silent, and light slowly filled the room once more. Holding onto the handrail, I rose to my feet, light headedness replacing the usual hammering inside my skull. I walked over to the doors. I opened them slowly, anticipating the feeling of failure.

The sky was washed with oranges and purples, as the dawn of a new day cast away the night. Dew hung off of the trees, sparkling in the rising sun. Past the rows of trees and bushes, were tiny houses from in the distance. I stepped outside, the wet grass squeaking underneath my shoes. Breathing in, the air was cold, and tickled at my nostrils. It was some time in mid November. Turning round, I noticed a grand house, more like a mansion really, with white window frames and large columns decorating the porch. A truck was parked near the front of the house, which I recognized immediately. It was the same one that had been parked on Dårlig Ulv Stranden, when the beach was just a projection in the T.A.R.D.I.S. I looked at the house again, and covered my face with my hands, letting out a sigh of mixed frustration and relief.

How did I not recognize it? I asked myself. It was Pete Tyler's mansion. I'd done it, I'd made it to Pete's world. I'd made it to her.

I wiped the tears from my eyes that had formed as I thought her name, and ran towards the house. God knows what I looked like, messy suit, scruffy hair, coat flailing behind me as I sprinted across someone's driveway, tears streaming down my face. If anyone saw, they would've thought I was crazy, which I was. I was going insane without her, and now she was in danger, and now I could save her. I could get her back. Rose. My Rose. The one who turned me into a better person. The one who I was lost without. The one I loved but never had the chance to tell her. The one I wanted to be with forever.
