That went well. At least Kaitlyn finally knew. I just wished she understood that she won't be capable of stopping The Shadow Soul from taking her life away. I know I'm supposed to be her friend, but, it's very unfortunate that I can't help. I'll have to watch as the light leaves her eyes. It'll be hard, but I cannot do anything about it. The Shadow Soul gets what he wants and he's much more powerful than even the Titan Lord, Kronos. Much more powerful.
As we ventured further into the wood, we passed lots of things I would've considered normal, but being new to all of this, Kaitlyn was amazed to see so much creatures that were supposed to be extinct.
"A dodo? A mammoth? What the?..." I smiled empathically and urged her forward. "We are nearly there, thee must not say anything to Lady Nightmare unless spoke to directly. Got it? I don't want to make things worse between the two of us."
She seemed confused by the last part. I sighed. "That's a story for another day." She nodded and carried in being amazed by everything. I felt bad, giving her life away. She's such a nice kid. And there's no way to help her. Such a pity.

By the time we got there, Kaitlyn's expression changed from awe to fear rather quickly. She obviously knew she didn't have long to live. Brave girl.
I saw Lady Nightmare sitting on a waiting room sofa. She glared at me and I immediately felt guilty. Of what? I don't know. But she had her ways of making me feel bad for just looking at her.
"M'Lady, I have brought thee the immortal. The one thee wanted." To my surprise, she smiled. "Oh thank you, Shile Wolfer! You're a...." She frowned, then shook her head. She didn't know what to call me. She hasn't given much compliments recently I guessed. She fixed her purple hair and crossed her legs.
"Come sit down, dears," she said sophisticatedly. That was her. One minute, one mood, another, she's completely changed. Just like her divine form; a shadow.
Her black eyes glimmered and shone. For a moment, I completely forgot who she was. I shook the thought away. I must not be fooled by her expressions again. I must not let her fool Kaitlyn, either. That would be bad. Very bad.
About 6 minutes later, Lady Nightmare stood. "Come," she said plainly. I made sure that Kaitlyn was by my side and followed. She led us to an almost empty room. It had a long table with several seats at it. The head of the table is where Lady Nightmare would sit.
I took a seat on the left side, while Kaitlyn took the right. She opened her mouth to say something, but I gave her a dirty look and she closed it again.
Lady Nightmare smiled sweetly at her. "Hello, my dear, you must be Kaitlyn. I am Lady Nightmare, head of the Shadas. I was told that you were immortal, am I right?"
She looked at me and I nodded. "Well, I was told that only today actually. I was told I wouldn't be turning 19 in November and.. yea." Yea? What was that? I tried to tell her through my eyes, but she didn't notice. Great.
"Shile, right? You went to the same school as her, I believe. Did you explain about The Shadow Soul getting weak and needing the power of an immortal to live?"
I nodded. "Yes, Lady Nightmare. I told her everything I knew. And yes, we went to the same school."
She nodded her approval. "Now, Shile, you shall escort Kaitlyn back to her house. We shall meet here again tomorrow. Same time. We shall choose her fate, then. Begone now."
I grabbed Kaitlyn and headed out. "Now, that went well." Kaitlyn stopped in her tracks. "Well?" She said astonished. "If that was well, then what's bad? You're really going to help her decide my fate? It was you of all people I thought, wouldn't want to see me die!"
There were tears in her eyes. "Look, I don't want see you die. But I have no choice." "NO. CHOICE?!!" I nodded simply. "There's no way to survive. Thee will only have 24 hours to live after he drains thee from thy powers. But..."
"But what?!" I looked up at her, pleadingly. "There was 3 ways to survive. One impossible, one highly dangerous, and the other out of use." "Tell me."
"The impossible one is killing The Shadow Soul, taking all of his power. The used one is a new body. Like how the great inventor of the Labyrinth, Daedalus, escaped death for over 2,000 years. The highly dangerous one-"
I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked and saw a shadow. It touched me. Then it said, "You should go, Kaitlyn. Your parents will be worried." She nodded and ran off. When I looked back, the shadow was gone.
