Chapter 5

*Alex POV*

Throughout the day I have been trying to enjoy myself as much as I can, but it's all starting to get to me now. Just realising how much I'm going to miss these people.

Especially Lexi.

Everything is going to change so much. I don't think I want it to change.

Oh well.
I guess.

I'm just going to be positive and think about all the adventures I will have and having a whole new place to explore does seem fun and it excites me. Maybe I'll even make new friends to go on these adventures with. I hope so.

I snapped out of my thoughts when the last bell rang.

My class all come up to me and hug me. I kinda just stand there awkwardly while they are huddled around me. I don't really like hugs that much unless I want them, but I just accept it today. I feel tears starting to well up in my eyes. I try and pull my hands to my face, but I can't there stuck.

People start to notice me tearing up and loosen the grip. Some ask me if I'm okay, others are just in shock because they've never seen me cry. Soon after I start to cry even more, tears flowing nonstop. I try and calm down and wipe them away but it's just not working. I'm soon greeted with a big hug from Lexi. I cry into her shoulder while we just stand there.

"Calm down Alex, it's okay" Lexi says in a sympathetic voice.

"It's not okay, I'm going to miss you so much" I say in between sobs.

"I'm going to miss you to, but we still have the rest of today and tonight, and you know we'll speak everyday, okay?" she's trying to be calm to reassure me, but I can tell she's trying to hold back the tears.

I nod my head a little, showing her I agree with what she's saying. I lift my head up and wipe away the remaining tears.

"Great, now I look like a fucking panda" I say sighing.

"A cute panda" Lexi says.

Her voice going a little bit higher, which means she's lying. I laugh a little and she laughs back.

We make are way down to detention.

Everyone stares at me because they know it's my last day. I don't like all the attention so I sigh, roll my eyes then just quietly go and sit with my head down.

Every once in a while Lexi would kick me from under the table to try and talk, but she would always get caught.

Which would make me laugh a little at how bad she is at being sneaky.

Pfffft and she calls her self a ninja.

Later on the teacher dismisses us all. Lexi and I make are way out of the school and start going to her house. It was only about 10 minutes away so we walked.
