Thank you, Casstiel for making the cover on the side. So, thanks and here is Chapter 22
Chapter 22
Walking down the school hallways, I couldn't help but think back. When I was a goody-two shoes. When I thought getting a B was a nightmare. When I had to be on time for class, or else colleges wouldn't even notice me.
But, now. I'm getting married to a suppose, sex god. I care about him. I don't think B's are so bad. But, I still don't get them. Being on time for class, is overrated. Colleges better notice me, or I will sue.
Things are looking much better. I guess somewhere in the middle of my thinking back, I started to daydream. So, the moment when I bumped into something hard, I was very surprised. I wouldn't be surprised if I bumped into a wall. Except a wall doesn't have hands.
I looked down to notice said wall, was holding on to my waist. I looked up into a pair of familiar chocolate, brown eyes. I internally groaned, crap. I gently backed away from the hands. Alex hands awkwardly dropped by his sides.
"Hey, Charlotte. It's been a while." I nodded slowly, not really trusting myself to speak. I haven't seen Alex since, that day him and Josh almost got in to it. He frowned slightly,
"Are you not speaking to me?" I shook my head, still not talking. He stepped closer, and I stepped back. He did it again, and I stepped back. This continued, until my back hit a cool, metal surface. Lockers. My breath caught in my throat, when his hands were suddenly on both sides of my heads. He leaned in close,
"Charlotte, are you lying to me?" His hot breath, fanned my lips. My old self, would love the fact that Alex Stiles actually noticed me. But, the new me doesn't like Alex Stiles anymore. And, cant help but feel guilty that she's close to another guy, who isn't Josh.
"N-No." My voice came out as a stutter. I cleared my throat, "I would appreciate it, if you would back off. Josh wouldn't like it, if he saw you this close to me. So, move." My voice came out with more confidence. Alex looked down at me, like I grew two heads.
"Who cares about Josh? This is about us-"
I snorted, "Us? Alex, I don't even know you. You met me at a party, where I was completely wasted. Before that, you've never even looked my way. Nothing has changed. I'm still that girl. So, you should just walk away." Alex looked like he was about to say something, when the bell suddenly ranged. Oh, thank banana juice. I sighed in relief.
Alex cursed under his breath, and took a step back. He removed his hands. I was about to walk away when Alex grabbed my arm, "This isn't over, Charlotte." I gave him a look, and jerked my arm out of his grip.
"Oh yes it is." With that said, I turned and walked away. Leaving behind a stunned Alex. I smirked at the thought. New Charlotte is kind of a badass. I walked into Math class. Usually, I would sit in the front. But, I feel like being a badass today.
I walked towards the back, and sat down next to a girl, who wore lots of eye liner." I cleared my throat, as everyone gawked at me. What? Can't a girl sit in the back?
Mr. Leo, a guy who's face could make the evilest people cry, was standing at the front of the class. His face was its usual red color, and his beady eyes were trained on everyone. He walked to my old desk, and looked confused.
"Where's Charlotte? My star pupil?" Everyone pointed at me, and my eyes grew. Mr. Leo's beady eyes snapped to me, and he gave me a questioning look. Please don't ask. Please don't ask-"
"Miss Bell, care to explain why the change of seats?" Everyone snapped their eyes to me. I audibly gulped, and silently cursed fate. First Alex, now this. I'm not even gonna ask if this could get worst, because that's usually when it does.
