My names Elena Smith. It's been 3 years since I last saw my family. I had gone to live in sunny California, USA to pursue my job as beautician and fashion designer to the stars. I know dream job right?
I strolled up to the large clear, automatic glass doors of the LAX airport. As I entered the smell of the little airport café's, hit me like I was been punched in the face.
However they were pleasant smells.
It was 12:40, the sun was bright and warm as it hit its peak in the sky. I looked down at my 'Lipsy London' watch, with tiny diamantes around the clocks face and a Lipsy London L & heart logo, behind the ticking hands. It was a gift from my mother, for my birthday last year, oh how I missed her. I let out a little gasp Shit I thought as I noticed I was going to be late for my flight if I didn't hurry. I scurried my way through security and luggage check in. (A/N: not sure what it's called) I made my flight with 5 minutes to spare.
Phew.
The flight was 11 hours to home, I tried to sleep for the most parts. I wonder what they are going to look like, will they even recognise me?? All these thoughts were running through my mind while I waited for sleep to take me, finally my eyes drooped closed.
**Just under 11hours later, still on the plane**
I was awoken to the sound of the air hostess, announcing that we would be landing in just under 10 minutes.
**Getting off the plane, (after luggage claim etc.)**
As I was coming off the plane, after claiming my luggage, I saw them!
I first saw my little brother, atop of my dad's shoulders. He looked so different, he was in a buggy, (A/N: A stroller/pram or whatever you call it) and only a few months old when I left. If he looked that different what would I look like to them and my parents? I worried in my mind trying not to let that emotion show on my face as I put on a big cheesy grin.
As I walked farther into the other part of the airport my parents came into view, my vision started to blur as warm, salty tears ran down my face. They weren't tears of sadness, no, there were tears of immense joy!
When their faces came into view, I could see that their expressions mirrored mine.
The distance between us finally closed, hugs and kisses were exchanged.
My 3 year old brother Zayn and my sister, his twin, Hannah. Her hair was so long and blond, shinning in the lights of the airport, I couldn't believe how different they both looked, Zayn with his longish bronze locks.
As for my parents they looked exactly the same, except dad had shaved his tiny attempt of a beard I remembered when he had tried to grow it out, mom didn't like it much.
As for her, my mother, she looked like she had lost the 'extra mommy', as she called it, from having the twins. They both now had slender bodies, they looked good.
We exited Birmingham Airport at around 20:30, the moon was full in the dark and gloomy sky, shining with the reflection, from the now set sun. I felt so bad leaving Lilly back in Cali as I knew what a full moon meant for her.
Anyway, we all climbed into a good old' British taxi, no yellow American cab, after putting my luggage into the boot. (A/N: or trunk whatever you call it we call it a boot)
Why were they all staring at me, is something about me off? Well I know there is but they don't know, well they shouldn't. I thought to myself, I looked down and started playing with my hands in my lap. And staring at the ring I could never take off, unless I wanted to die of corse.
We drove towards the house I had missed so much. This was going to be one of the greatest vacations ever if nothing went wrong.
However there was one secret I had that I hadn't told any of my family. One I wasn't sure I could tell them. I was a vampire...
A/N: How do you like it, this is my first ever time uploading a story to this site, or anywhere for that matter. Anyway vote, and comment . And I chose the name Elena because I really like that name from 'TVD'!!
