"I don't know." I whisper incoherently, my gaze avoiding Hank's in every which way.

My heart clenched as it always has, the memories of our childhood friendship a bittersweet shot of tequila burning the lining of my stomach. Hank snickered, taking my supposed silence as the answer to his question. "So it's true?" He inquired, "You don't even have enough courage to defend your friend?"

I looked over at Gloria, her swollen stomach protruding from her abdomen. Her tight shirt was slipping away from her skin, revealing vibrant pink stretch marks. My stomach churned for her, Jackie's friends torturing mine like rattlesnakes taunting a mouse. Tears stained her pale skin, her chest heaving as she pressed herself against the lockers.

"Please," I beg, my heart skipping a beat as Jackie slapped Gloria's stomach gently. "Call it off. Hit me, kick me, throw me off of a building. Just leave Gloria alone."

"There it is." Hank cheered, snapping his fingers. His dogs set Gloria free, her quiet sobs growing louder as she ran off covering her flushed face with her hands.

"Oh, snickerdoodle, what'd you do that for?" Jackie purred, her hand landing on his shoulder seductively.

"Kelp gave us permission to do whatever we want with her, as long as Gloria be left alone." Hank replied, his voice husky as he pulled her against him. "I thought it was a good deal."

"It is." Jackie giggled, "Isn't it girls?"

"Yep." Melissa chimed, Amy nodded her head silently, her mysterious eyes scanning our surroundings.

I kept my mouth shut, my eyes switching between the four of them. "I say we tie her to the flag pole outside." Jackie suggests, her eyes locking on my face.

"That's too easy." Hank groans, "Way too easy." His lips curved into a smirk, one that brought frightful chills down my spine.

Hank grabbed me by my arms, Jackie backs off with a smile and watched as her dearest boyfriend drags me towards the boys' locker room. Fear radiated off of my body as he slammed the door closed behind us. The sound bounced off the lockers, ringing like a warning bell. I knew chaos would occur after this, it was the outcome to every evil plot Hank had.

He slammed me into the lockers, his eyes darkening considerably as he chuckled. He ripped at my clothing, leaving me in my undergarments. The humid air bit at my skin as he tied me to the office door with a teatherball rope. I didn't struggle against him, my heart clenching as he stood straight and admired his work.

"And now, you wait for the football team." He growled before leaving the locker room. I sat there in silence, my heart drumming in my ears.

Time went by slowly, the tears welling with each second I counted in my head. I shivered from the cold breeze that follows the opening of a door. Excited cheers echoed in the room, laughter and claps made my legs tremble. I closed my eyes and sobbed hysterically, ready for the humiliation I was about to face.

The sound of lockers opening greeted my ears, alerting me of the severe proximity of the football team. I prayed that my brother would protect me, that he would be the first to notice. "Preston." I cried softly, my eyes searching the room. The sight of naked guys greeted my gaze, my skin growing warm as embarrassment flooded me.

"What the fuck?!" Jacob, the football captain screeched, his body freezing in place as he glared down at me. The longer he stared, the more of the guys came over to check out what he had found.

I counted to three, the laughter began as every single guy pointed and laughed. "What's going on?" My brother hissed, his head popping through the crowd. His features twisted in horror, the towel he had draped over his shoulder was thrown over me. He wrapped his arms around me and joined me on the floor.

He growled like an animal, "I swear to God if any of you don't leave in three seconds I will murder every single one of you!" He shouted, his voice shaking the hysteria. The crowd dispersed, leaving Preston and I alone by the office door. He released my wrists and helped me up, wrapping the towel around me as if I were a toddler.

"What happened?" He asked gently, guiding me through the locker room. We stopped at his locker, he grabbed his gym shirt and threw it over my head. I skipped my arms through and smiled sadly. Wiping my cheeks I shrugged.

"Some of the girls in my class though it would be funny to dare me to do this." I say, "I just got a bit scared at the last second is all."

Preston arched a brow as he pushed me towards the door. "You know, lying isn't your thing." He said.

I opened the door and smiled. "It was nothing. I'm serious." I whisper. I slid through the crack in the door and kept my head down as I walked through the empty halls.

Hank, Jackie, and her girls were standing with smug expressions as I passed. Each of them suppressing their laughter. "Did you have fun?" Melissa cackled, the group finally bursting into fits of laughter.

I sped up, my feet smacking against the linuleom as I ran towards the school exit. Greeting the parking lot I sighed. I found Preston's car and sat on the hood. My cheeks were still flushed from crying, I fiddled with the hem of his shirt as I glared at the pavement.

My thoughts were plagued by the one thing I so desperately wanted to do. I knew I was better than that, but it didn't stop my thoughts from torturing me.

Within minutes, Preston greeted me with a sad expression. We slid into his car, the silence slitting our vocal cords. We sat for a moment before he started the car, he left the parking lot and turned the music up.

"Kels.." Preston sighed, his hand slipping into my own. "What really happened?"

"I already told you, Pres." I grumble, "Just leave it alone." Preston removed his hand as if I had burned him, a grimace taking place on his face.

"You need to talk about it every once in a while." Preston grunts, "You can't keep it in for too long, Kelsey."

"Believe me, Pres." I whisper, "It's only best if I keep it to myself."
