Aria sat on the couch that night since she couldn't sleep and went through some of the movies they owned. She came across a home movie with a note attached to it. It said 'Incase something like the notebook happens and I forget you or something. Although I doubt I could forget. Anyways play this for me and I'll remember. Xxx Aria
Popping it into the DVD player she hit play.
"I'm sure I forgot you or something or maybe I just want to watch the video again not to sure but whatever. This song if for you Riker. Enjoy!"Aria watched her 24 year old self say as she smiled at the camera
A song came on and she watched the video. Many things went on Aria singing this song in the recording studio,Riker reading to the kids,pictures and videos of Aria and Riker in Paris or just randomly filming each other. Tears blurred her vision as she kept watching.
"Love me love me say that you love me."Riker said badly off key which made Aria giggle
"Eww Riker stop singing like that."she laughed "And that's not the song that I'm singing anyways."
He rolled his eyes but you could see the love in them "Oh yeah then wants the song?"he asked
"When the stars come out at night and we're watching the same sky. You can tell there's no surprise I won't forget you."She watched herself sing to him.
The video has began to end as she seen her 24 year old self again "Hope this video makes me remember if I forgot. This song is the most amazing song I've ever written about you Riker. It's an amazing song for an amazing guy. I'll never forget you."she said and smiled then the video ended.
"Did that make you remember mom?"she heard a voice say from behind her
Turning around she seen Cole. His hair was messed up and he looked like he just woke up "I remember some of the things from the video. Like that day in the studio and Riker reading to you guys. Just everything I seen I remember it's coming back to me."
"Are you and dad getting a divorce"Cole asked
Aria shook her head and opened her arms for her son "No of course not sweetheart"she said soothingly as he sat next her and she wrapped her arms around him
"Then why do you have the papers?"he questioned as he looked up at his mother
She bit her lip "My parents gave them to me,they thought I'd get a divorce from him. But I can't do that. Even though I don't really remember I do know I love him too much to do that"she explained
"Please don't leave mom."he begged
"I won't leave ever I promise."Aria said holding him close
Cole hugged his mom tight "You and dad aren't ever going to fight are you?"he asked
Pushing his hair out of his face she shook her head "Honey of course not."
"Dad told me about your family. The ones you had when he met you."he told her "And I wanted you to know you are the best mom ever."
Tears wanted to fall from her eyes but she held them in "I think we should get to bed."
While trying to sleep that night Aria thought of her son and him bringing up her parents the ones that raised her and made her feel so bad about herself.
