Chapter 5 // Johnny Depp

[ A V E R Y P.O.V ]

I woke up surprisingly on my bed.

I got out of bed and saw max  lying on the ground with a blanket wrapped around him which didn't cover much. a smile made its way to my face at the sight.

I didn't want to wake him up so I just took a bigger blanket and covered him with it.

"Thanks princess" he whispered.

He used to tease me by calling me princess because I keep watching all the Disney princesses movies on repeat, but he suddenly stopped a year ago.

"No problem cowboy" I whispered back.

He hates when I call him cowboy.

I took a shower and went downstairs, it was cold but I was too lazy to go back up and get a hoodie or something so i only had shorts and a tank top on.

I prepared some waffles and pancakes and grilled cheese sandwiches and coffee.

I went back up and got ready and went to school not bothering to say goodbye, I'm gonna see them in school anyway.

I made my way to the bus stop and waited for the bus.

After what seemed like forever the bus finally arrived. It's either I'm too early or too late there's no in between.

"Hey David how's you're daughter doing?" I smiled as I was handing him the bus card.

"She's doing better thanks for asking, how's it going in school?" He kindly asked.

My face twisted as 'is that even a question?' Face

He laughed. I made my way to the first empty seat my eyes caught.

I felt someone take a seat next to me but I kept my gaze at the kid out of the window,I kept making silly faces to scare him.

What? It's fun.

I opened my phone to play some music.

"How old is that dude 70? And you have him as your wallpaper" I heard a guy scoff.

"Ummm Noo he's 51..52 and he's hot, like you could beat him at that age" I said looking at the 'guy' who apparently think Johnny Depp is 70!.

It's Alec. great just great that's what I needed right now.

"I wonder if you would get all defensive if someone called me a douche" he smirked.

"I can't argue with what's true" I said and played some music.

We arrived at school after a long long ride through hell with Alec teasing me every now and then and he keeps taking my headphones off.

And I did change my seat.

Twice. But still he's stuck to me like white on rice.

Apparently his motorcycle is broken someone vandalized it. I wonder who.

"See you later cupcake" Alec said and went to his friends.

Cupcake?

I went to my locker. And then faith and Riley came to me.

"So did you hook up with Alec? You know when he saved you from jace and all" faith said chewing her gum so violently that I felt sorry for the gum.

"Because if you didn't" Riley trailed "this will go viral" she said showing me her phone.

"Yeah I got that, and yes I did hook up with Alec" i said.

They both had the shape O printed on their faces.

"Really? Okay then you wouldn't mind us asking Alec about it right?" Riley said pointing at Alec and his friends.

Now what are you going to do?

I don't know! you're the one who decided it's a good idea to lie.

Well you didn't protest.

Think think think.

"Yeah you can ask him" i said taking my books out of the locker like it's not a big deal.

"Okay then we will at lunch in the cafeteria In front of everyone" faith looked me straight in the eyes "and if we found out that you're lying that's not the only photo that's going viral" she threatened and walked away.

What other photos does she have or is she just saying that as a threat? I'm confused.

"Can I talk to you?" I said awkwardly.

"Me?" He asked.

"Yeah you"

He laughed "okay" and came to me.

"This will sound so weird, Iwantyoutopretendthatwehookedup" I said super quick.

"What?" He furrowed his eyebrows.

I took a deep breath "I want you to pretend that we hooked up" i stared at my shoes.

"Okay"

"I know this is weird but I really need- wait what?" I looked at him.

"Okay I'm in but you're gonna owe me. Again" he smirked.

Seriously? Isn't it bad enough that I told him i would do anything for him already.

"Deal" I smiled and walked away.

Why do I keep doing this? Why?

Short chapter I know it's boring but the next chapters would be more exciting :)
