I stared out my kitchen window and I actually felt happy. Although the events that happened before I got here were quite extreme. So let me start at the beginning.
It's been a year since I came back to Provo, Utah. I had lived in New York with my aunt since I was a kid. Who knew that New York could be full of danger and excitement?
Anyway, so there I was, in Manhattan, lower east side shopping, when these two guys came in the store with guns! I hid behind the clothing rack and kept quiet. They made everyone come out of their hiding places except me. I guess they couldn't find me, so I decided to creep out of the back of the store. Of course they saw me, then pointed a gun at me and told me to stay with the rest as they looked for money.
As you may have noticed, I'm not the best at escaping out of robberies. But what happened next was something I didn't expect.
A team of soldiers burst in taking down the robbers in a flash, cuffing their wrists and taking them away. We all looked at them in amazement as they left, one of them looked at me, his face familiar. The police arrived in a matter of minutes, none of the other citizens talked about the soldiers or the robbers.
Okay. I know you're lost, so let me explain. When I recognized the soldier that stared at me, he had looked at the other civilians seriously, held up his badge that said "secret service" and then disappeared. I know its not much, but that's all you're getting for now.

I rode the bus home later, and came home to an empty house. I looked in the garage, and saw a sporty looking motorcycle. I dropped my bag in awe and touched the handlebars, sitting in the seat, admiring the dark blue color and the logo on the top of the gas tank.
It was a red faced logo, something I had never seen before. It looked a bit non-human in a way. I looked around, not seeing how the motorcycle had gotten in.
I opened my phone and called my aunt. She answered, the phone, street noises were loud in the background. "Aunt Kelly, where were you?" I asked her. "I'm going to a new club! Don't wait up ok?" I rolled my eyes smiling. She always does this. She chuckled. "I'll bring a doggy bag back for you! Gotta go bye!" She said quickly.
I giggled and closed my phone. I couldn't help but remember the last time she went out clubbing. She had glitter all over her and her hair was super crazy and all over the place. I looked at the motorcycle again and got off. "I hope you're here to stay." I said aloud, turning off the light and went inside to get to bed.

The next morning I woke up and raced to the garage door, looked in and saw nothing. I sighed. I knew it was too good to be true. I mean, a motorcycle just randomly shows up in the garage? Pfft.. Please. I was obviously daydreaming. But that logo never left my mind.
I went to eat breakfast and then changed my clothes. I had nothing to do today. Nothing. I decided to go rollerblading for a while. Hey, I might be a girl, but blading is fun! Kelly was asleep on her bed, so I just took off. She wouldn't be awake for a few hours anyway...
I bladed to the skate park and practiced on the ramp and rails, grinding and speeding to my hearts content. More kids came with their skateboards and roller-blades. One kid dared to challenge me to a race, and then another.
The race started down the stair rails, and then down the hill to the outdoor shopping center. We raced through the crowds of shoppers; security trying to chase us down for causing a disturbance. We quickly veered right, avoiding them, and were out on the street again, racing back up to the skate park.
Kids ran up the street, cheering us on. We were all neck and neck until I pushed with all I had and reached the entrance before they did. I skidded to a stop, out of breath, sad and defeated looks on all of their faces.
"Better luck next time guys. Good race." The boys smiled and nodded. "Good race." They said, and went to skate and roller-blade some more. The rest of the kids went off, doing whatever they wanted. I basked in my glory a bit longer and then started to head home.
