Hogwarts

Its was raining at the Hogsmead station.Remus and I get down as soon as the train stopped.Hagrid was at the station.I greet him with a smile.I saw him last ten years ago.

"Hello Hagrid,"I said.

" 'Ow are yeah?"he asked grinning.

"I've been good,"I said.

"Well, I'll see yeah two at the feast,"he said proudly."Been made a teacher, I 'ave."

"That's wonderful Hagrid,"said Remus."And yes, we'll see you at the castle."

Remus and I got into one of those thesral carriages.The students weren't there yet and we had to get to the feast before them.I could see the castle getting closer and closer.I felt my heart beating faster.

Home.

I was getting nostalgic.I look at Remus who sat across me.He was looking out through the window, expressionless.The carriage halted at the entrance that led to the Great Hall.I could feel myself smiling and truly happy for the first time.

I know, I just met Harry and that meeting him should have been the happiest moment but I was terrified to meet Harry.I thought he'd be mad and angry for not being there for him.I would be and I want to say sorry for that but that doesn't change anything.

Remus and I quickly get into the castle as the rain intesified.I was feeling tired and hungry.Ever since that Dementor attack, my head's been aching.Dumbledore was at the Great Hall talking to a few other teachers.He looked exactly like he always did.Half-moon spectacles, bright blue eyes, silvery and long beard.He came towards us.

"Good evening Remus, Anna,"he said and smiled.

"Good evening Professor,"I said, like I always did.

"Call me Albus,"he said, chuckling slightly."You're not a student anymore, Anna."

It was uncomfortable, even now to sit next to Snape.I do not have anything against him but he hated Sirius and James.He disliked everything they stood for.He didn't like me any better.When I saw him first this evening, he gave me a curt nod.I smiled at him.He didn't return it.I had to sit next to him and Remus sat on he other side of Snape.

"Well, I must say, you must be very disappointed with Black,"sneered Severus.

I felt my hand tremble slightly as I clutch onto my fork tightly.

"He was a faithful servant, alright.Just like Bellatrix."

Bellatrix Lestrange is something Sirius will never be.Sirius would never use the three most forbidden curses.She did.She tortured Frank and Alice Longbottom.It made them mad.Bellatrix Lestrange killed my mother infront of my eyes.She almost had me dead but I was rescued but I could not save my mother.

"He's-"

Dumbledore got up to speak to the students and he also introduced us (Remus and me) as new teachers.It felt weird to sit with the teachers.I envied school-life as it was the pleasentest time of my life.After that, things got dark and I ended up losing my family.

I could see Harry pay close attention to Dumbledore.Just like Lily, I thought and smiled.Then,Dumbledore spoke about Sirius and Harry glanced at me and our eyes met briefly.A few minutes later,the students were allowed to disperse and after they left the hall, I followed Dumbledore to his office.

The many times Sirius and James were sent to Dumbledore for playing a prank or getting into trouble.Then, Remud and I would be called as we were Prefects.McGonagall used to scold us for not keeping our friends under control.I almost lost my prefect badge when Snape came to know about Remus' condition.Sirius was playing a trick on Snape and thought it would be fun if Snape actually fell for Sirius' words and went to the Whomping Willow.

Snape did.He, as Sirius expected followed him to the Willow but I heard about this through Peter and told James.I asked James to go after Snape and stop him.I was so angry at Sirkus for doing that.It was supposed to be a joke but it could've ended up with Snape getting killed.

I remember the not talking to Sirius for a long time after that until one day he apologised to Snape.

"Feeling nostalgic, are we?"chuckled Dumbledore.

"Its been a long time,"I said my throat felt hard.I couldn't speak properly."why didn't you tell about Sirius?'

"Anna,the Ministry was going to take you under their custody when Sirius broke out of Azkaban,"said Dumbledore. "I ensured Fudge that I'd make you a teacher here and keep an eye on you.I didn't want to tell you because I know that you wouldn't have taken the job."

"I don't know where he is,"I said,

"I know you don't but the Ministry are looking for reasons to arrest you and there are so many Dementors stationed here at Hogwarts just in case Sirius comes here looking for you."

"Why would he come here?"

"You are his wife.,"he said."I know, Anna, Remus told me that you still think he's innocent but the proof available is all against him.Also, the Ministry is now worried if he'd try to hurt Harry and you."

"He'd never hurt me or Harry,"I said.

"Anna, he's not who you think he is,"said Dumbledore. "He's a dangerous man.Now go to bed and get some sleep.Its your first day of teaching tomorrow."

I nod but in my mind I was screaming.Sirius is not a murderer.He is not what they say he is.

I go to my room.I've never been to a teacher's room before.Its big and the bed is soft and huge.I see the four walls around me and think of the dorm rooms.The rain was still falling heavily.I look outside and couldn't see anything outside.Darkness.

I shiver and creep into the warmth of my bed.It was nice to be back.I close my eyes.

"Good night Anna, "I heard a wisper.I jump up and look around.Nobody.The wisper came from the direction of the fireplace.I glance at the fire.Nothing.

I drink some water and glance one last time at the fireplace.Something caught my eye.

There was a small, crushed piece of paper, its edges charred.It wasn't there before.I take it and there was something written on it.

Meet me by the lake early morning.I'll be there by four.Only you.Don't bring anyone else with you.
