Chapter 10:Neighbours

Kori's POV

I ran straight to the neighbour's door . I felt the tears in my eyes , but I held them back . I knocked on the door and a man opened it .

He had green skin and dark green hair . He was cute .

- Uhm ... Hi ! I'm Kori Anders , the new neighbour , you know Mary's mother . I came to bring her home . - I said kindly shaking his hadn . He smiled at me .

- Hi ! I'm Garfield Logan , but everybody's calling me Gar . Yeah , I know . Mary's such a cutie . She is a lot like you . Come in ! - he invited me in his flat .

We walked into the living room , to see Mary and a little girl with light skin , purple hair and green eyes , sitting on the floor , playing with a cute brown puppy . When Mary noticed me she ran up to me and hugged my leg , I stroked her hair .

- Hey , little girl !

- Hi , mommy ! Wanna come and play with us ?

- No , princess . We have to go home .

She pouted , ran away from me and hid behind the couch . I laughed .

A woman walked into the room . She had purple hair and the same skin colour as the little girl , who was still looking at me in an awe .

- Oh , Gar you didn't say we have a guest . Hi , I'm Racheal Logan , Gar's fiance and Faith's mother . - she shook my hand .

- I'm Kori Anders , Mary's mother . It's nice to meet you ... - I smiled warmly at her .

- It's nice to meet you too . Mary and Faith became really good friends ..... - she said smiling in our daughters's direction . I smiled too .

- Yes , but we gotta go now . Did you hear it ,Mary ?

Mary just giggled and came next to me , grabbing my hand . I kissed the top of her head .

- Thanks , for babysitting her .

- Mommy , I'm not a baby ... - she said . I laughed .

- Right .... then thanks for Mary-sitting .

They all laughed .

- Bye . - I said walking out of the door .

We went back to our apartment . Richard was still there . I gasped .

- Mr. Rich !!!!!!! - Mary squeeled , letting go off my hand , jumping on his lap . Ricjard chuckled .

- Hi , princess . How are uou ? - he asked . " Princess ? That's my nickname for her ! "

- I'm more then good . I played a lot with Faith and her puppy , Titan . He is so cute , I mean the puppy , because he's a boy . - she said , almost whispering .

- Aren't you tired little one ? - I asked sitting next to them .

She shook her head no , but hen yawned .

- Sure you're not .... Come on , princess... - I said picking her up .

We walked to her room , Richard following us . I put her on her bed , while I searched some Pj-s . I found a pink one with purple " Pink is my colour , because daddy said it's cute on me ..." subtitle . I dressed her in it .

I layed her on her bed .

- I want Mr. Rich to tell me a story .... - she whispered . I looked at Richard hesitating . He nodded and sat on the edge of her bed . I sat next to him .

- Once upon a time was a beautifull princess . She was innocent , gorgeous , kind and she had a great voice . - Richard started .

- Just like mommy !! - Mary squeeled .

- Yeah , just like mommy . - he said looking at me . - This beautifull princess was a warrior . She fought against the bad guys , but she wasn't alone . She had four true friends . Two boys and two girls . One of her friends was a prince , he wasn't that handsome and he didn't deserve the princess's love . They wanted to get married , but on that day the prince made a huge mistake . The princess was kidnapped . He couldn't save her , he was too weak . This story doesn't have a happy end . The princess is still missing and the prince is living like a ghost . He doesn't feel anything . - he finished the story .

I had to hold my tears back . This stroy was soo sad .

Mary fell asleep . She was so cute holding her teddy bear . I kissed her forehead , tucked her in and we walked out of her room .

Yeah , that was when the silence started .
