Chapter 5: A Group of Raiders

"So we can do this the easy way or the hard way." The leader of the raiders. "You either show us your lord and let us talk to him, or we go in and find her ourself."

"I'm not afraid of you!" Travis screans at them. "What exactly are you going do?!"

"This." The leader says and he shoots an arrow at Travis' arm. He falls down. I put my hands over my mouth trying not to scream. Vylad and Katelyn go up to the wall. They still hadn't noticed us.

"Our lord isn't here. She's in the forest!" Says Katelyn.

"I don't believe it one bit!" The leader screams back at them.

"Aphmau, your Irene form." Cadenza says.

"What?"

"Use your Irene form to scare them off. Or kill them. With it."

Right when I was about to go up to them, Aaron sneaks up behind them. Before I could do anything, he kills them all. One by one, putting his sword through them. He then grabs the leader and pushes him against the wall.

"I know there are more of you." He tells him, and cuts his leg. "You're gonna go back to them gonna tell them that they can never come back here again. I'll let you live this time, but next time, you won't be so lucky."

"Y-y-yes! Whatever you say!" The leader says. Aaron lets him go and he runs into the forest.

"Aaron!" I run at him and give a hug. He stands still. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine Aphmau. I came across their group earlier before. They're Meif'wa. I spied on their camp a little. It's not to far from here." He replies. "Listen Aphmau. About earlier. I know you want me to talk to people more and stop shutting others off. I thank you for that. But I think I should do that at my own pace."

"It's fine. I'm sorry. I know you like your privacy and I respect that." I say.

Katelyn opens the gate and we both go in. Vylad takes care of the bodies.

I climb up the wall with Aaron and Cadenza to check on Travis. He's on the floor, fainted.

"Travis!" I look at him worried. I put my hands on his injury and a ehite light appears for a second and then, his injury heals.

"Am I in heaven?" He says. "Because I'm looking at a beautiful angel." He continues to say while looking at me. I chuckle.

I decided to go check on August and his family. He was reading and his wife was playing woth their kids.

"Hey August." I say going in.

August: Lady Aphmau. Good to see you.

Hazel stands up.

Hazel: Lady Aphmau we are so happy that you let us stay here.

Aphmau: Please, just call me Aphmau.

Hazel: Alright, Aphmau. You've treated like no one ever has. We thank you so much. We'll leave in two days, and we're sorry if that's to much bother.

Aphmau: Stay here for as long as you need.

The kids hugged me and thanked me for letting them stay.

I stayed by the gate for the rest of the day. Vincent and Laurance came about an hour later after I talked with the family. When it got late I headed to the shack.

I really liked this day. But I want it to be complete. Please Lady Irene.
