New Life Online Acolytes

Chapter 1

In every world, there are those who hide in the shadows. Those that stand on the sidelines never interfering. New Life Online is no exception. The Acolytes. The small but powerful guild made up of 66 members who are all above level 200, with rare monster souls. More myth and legend than reality. The stories of the Acolytes are told across every town, bar, pub, inn, shop and even guild halls. And every once in a while, you have someone claiming to be one. But no one believes them. See, the players across the NLO think that the Acolytes don't exist. That they are nothing but exaggerated stories and rumors. But I'm here to tell you differently. The Acolytes exist. And how I know, I'm one of the 66 members. Well technically the 33rd member.

Sorry I never introduced myself. My real name is Phoenix Banes. My NLO name is Nix. It's short for Phoenix. I'm a 17 yo old student. I have raven black hair, thin body, and being 1.5 metres makes me kinda small. I use dual short swords that are perfect opposite of each other. One is infused with dark magic and the other one with light. Works wonders really. I wear light armour and a cloak to cover myself (and the 33 number tattoo on my neck) and a Persian Immortal helmet to hide my face. Anyways, that's enough about me. Back to the Acolytes. There are 3 major things you should know about us.

1) THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT:- WE DO NOT WORSHIP SATAN, THE 13 GODS OR, AS I'VE HEARD THE WORLD BOSSES (seriously who comes up with these stuff and who believes. World bosses? Really?)

2) We don't spend our time in robes dancing around fires , cooking up vicious poisons and practicing dark magic. We are balanced and do not focus our resources and members on a certain branch of mastery or skill set.

3) Contrary to popular beliefs even we haven't been able to take down a world boss (though we do have a wide variety monster souls. Rare, Legendary, mini boss etc etc)
     
                Now that that's over, it's time for a little founding history. The formation of Acolytes. Perceus or Percy our guild was one of the starting players. He was apparently one of the "Special Ones". And knowing him now, I can believe it. When the game devs were looking for the 13 Gods who'll govern the game and its politics, Percy was also offered. He refused instead opting to make a guild that would be on the side lines. A guild that dedicates itself to finding more about the biomes and mysteries of NLO. One that was small but made up of powerful individuals. And one that would stay in the shadows and never interfere what happens. Though with the recent announcement, I'm guessing that last rule is going to be put to the test. That's everything I guess. Not everything just everything for now.

Wow ok that was.. not easy. I'm trying to make the story make sense and all. Introduction should be exciting and dramatic and I hope that this intro is good enough. And catches your attention. And btw constructive criticism is always welcome..
