Chapter 2
“You went out again. You know you are prohibited from leaving the premises,” said a man sitting on a small bed. The bed was pushed against the wall and the whole room was painted a bright shade of white. The man’s face was covered by a dark shadow. “I know, I just needed to get out,” replied a boy who looked a lot like Mark. The man stood and looked out the only window in the room to see the night sky. “You could have been seen,“ stated the man. “But I wasn’t,“ the boy whispered, clearly afraid of the man. “Ahh,” said the man, “But you don’t know that.” He started walking toward the boy and grabbed his arm. The boy struggled and tried to shake him off but failed. “I guess we need to teach you a lesson on why you do not leave the premises,” the man said, “Nurse.”
