Chapter 49.

Learning New Things About My Baby.

Chapter 49:

I sat back against the bed a little worried . We recently found out my baby is human and my body is trying to realize that, the baby isn't getting what it's supposed to , so I am on bed rest and hooked up to a IV until it gets healthier .

Vikki hasn't spoken to me about the whole baby issue.. She has been ignoring me and it hurts.
Was she having doubts? Was she thinking it's not her's because it's human? Does she think I cheated with a human?

Negative thoughts were running through my head all day today. I sighed and tried not to stress because this baby can not handle it.
How was I supposed to carry and raise a human baby? It was way different than a pup. Don't get me wrong I'm excited but also scared.

Amy walked in with Sara carrying in a bag. She put it on my bed as I looked through it.

"Books?" I said.

"Yes on how to raise a baby. "

"Human baby." Sara corrected her.

I laughed lightly and nodded looking through it.

"Does it feel weird?" She asked.

"Feels like nothing , even if all these wires are on me."

They were quiet because try knew the next question that comes out my mouth.

"She hasn't been around . She has been with Lark and everyone . Melissa.. She cares-

"She sure in the hell shows it."

"Allot is going on." She told me as Sara elbowed her.

"What's going on? Tell me"

They looked at eachother as they bit there lip.

"What is going on!" I yelled.
Pain came to me as I sat back and breathed.

Vikki should have felt it.. She should feel my pain. But why didn't she come.

"Relax relax." She said rubbing my hand.

"Tell me."

"Well pretty much people are going missing.. Pack members are going missing. People are blaming the Witches or Vampires and sadly they have nothing to do with it."

"So people are going missing and no one has a clue who it is?"

"No clue."

"So there is a new killer or villian?"

"Apparently." Sara said sighing .

"No one wanted to worry you, your on guard duty."

"Guard duty. Who?"

"Me!" Alvin ran in smiling.

My fave lite up as he hugged me gently.
"I have missed you and oh gosh your pregnant!"

I laughed and nodded.
"I missed you."

"Me and Alex are guarding you. Kyle had Sara and Vikki and Lark trying to figure shit out with other Alpha's"

"I should be there." I said trying to get up.

"Um no. Your pregnant and no offense.. Some of the Alpha's aren't fond of you, because last time."

I rolled my eyes laying back.
"I feel useless."

"Not really. You just need to think of the baby more than yourself" he said tapping my foot.

I groaned and laid back.

'I miss you'

'Are you well' Vikki said through link.

'No .. Your not here. I'm useless'

'Your not useless. I'll be by tonight.'

'Your distant'

'Sorry. I just need to realize that the baby is human and we all need to protect him or her .'

'It will be hard.. But I'm willing if you are'

She shut me out and it hurt as I rubbed my head.
"I don't think Vikki can handle this"

"Why say that?" Alvin said.

"The baby is human. Me and Vikki are wolves."

"You were once human." Amy pointed out.
"Vikki isn't the one who is used to it. Maybe this is a blessing-

"Or a curse, testing us"

"Where is Nessa, I miss her."

They all stood still looking at one another.
Something is up.

"Where is my daughter" I said in Alpha tone.

"That- That's another thing."

I dashed out the door and up the stairs to the meeting hall.
"Melissa dont!" Alvin yelled.

My mother/Alpha mode was out and about and I didn't care.

I slammed the door's open as everyone jumped and looked at me.
Vikki stared at me emotionless .

I slammed my hands on the table as it cracked.

"WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME MY DAUGHTER WAS MISSING!"

Everyone was quiet.

"VIKKI!" I screamed

She stood up and looked at me.
"Because your in no state-

"Don't you fucking tell me what I can and can't do! How dare you keep this from me!"

"Don't you think it pained me aswell! Your pregnant for fuck sakes!"

"And! This is Vanessa were talking about! How could you!" I screamed.

"Hey relax." Someone said.

I growled loudly as my red eyes came out.
"Don't you tell me what to do!"

He held his hands up and kept quiet.

"You make me sick." I told her walking away.

She followed me as I passed my pack they said nothing.
"Melissa."

She grabbed my hand as I growled. She growled back.

"Enough!" Michael's voice made us look at him.

"Get out!" I yelled.

He rolled his eye's and what pissed me more off is Jace was standing there in my house .

"GET OUT!!" I yelled more loudly Alpha tone becoming louder.

My pack bowed in submission and said nothing as they kept there head low.

"I know your upset but we don't wanna upset the baby Melissa."

I growled and got in his face.

"Pregnant." Jace said.

Vikki growled and got infront of me. I pushed her away and rolled my eyes. Now she wanted to care? Fuck off.

"Leave my house." I warned.

"I'm trying to help."

"Is it mine." Jace said.

My eyes snapped to her. My stomach and heart dropped.

"Like hell." Vikki growled.

"How do you know." She growled back.

Vikki grabbed her by the throat and slammed her to the wall. They both were growling at eachother.

"Enough." The voice made us all jump.

I turned slowly too look at her. She stood there dressed in a white top and pants too. Tears wanted to come out of my eyes.

"Mom." I whispered.
