"Well boys, another poker game ends in my favor." I nonchalantly said as I leaned on the back two legs of my chair. The toothpick I had in my mouth was getting wet, so I flipped it around to the other side. The various grumbles from around the table made me chuckle lightly. "Wanna go again?" I asked the guy across the table from me.
"Sorry Lola, the only thing I have left to bet with is my eternal soul."
"I'd take that too, but I have better things to do." I gathered all of my money and put it into my poker bag. As I left the poker table, and made my way towards the entrance, I noticed the bar, and decided to get myself a drink. "What will you be having?" says the bartender. I scanned the selection of various beers, liquors, and wines. "I'll have a vodka martini on the rocks." He nodded and walked away making my drink. Next thing I knew, a guy came from my right side and sat down right next to me. "Having a bad day?" he asked me.
I took my hair and brushed it behind my ear and the bartender brought my drink just as I replied, "My day was going just fine until I experienced displeasure because of your presence." I tried to keep my inner teenage girl locked up in my brain. "Oh, feisty are we? I like 'em feisty. Much more fun than than all these good girls out here. My name's Jayden, but I'd prefer the ladies to call me Jay." Great, a male version of myself. When I finished my drink, I put the class on the counter upside down with the payment under the rim of the glass. Lucky for me, I had my red Sharpie marker on me. I took it out, and I wrote my number on his arm. After that I had to leave before I said something stupid. I went to the parking garage, and found my car. My dream car. It was a black Chevy Camero with two red racing stripes. At the start of the engine, adrenaline surged through my veins.
My favorite song by The Weeknd came on. Sadly, it didn't help me get Jayden off my mind. I turned it up as high as the radio could go. When I came out of the parking garage, I saw Jayden on the side of the road. He was yelling at the valet, and he looked really pissed off. I pulled up next to him to ask whats wrong. "The fucking valet lost my car. How the hell am I going to get home?"
"Get in. I'll take you home. Just tell me where to go."
"No way. I cant let you do that. I'll take a taxi home."
"Just get in the damn car before I decide to pull off and leave you in the rain."
He laughed at my last remark, and gratefully got into the car.
"Thanks for doing this."
"No problem dude. I'll be expecting you to return the favor though."
"Alright. It's a deal."
