Prologue

Footsteps were heard moving away from the scene, although not one person ushered a breath. I sprinted as fast as I could through these dark cold alleyways but sadly, my mind was convinced that I wouldn't make it, not to my graduation, not to my own wedding, not to see the end of what my parents would become. Noise became louder and the moon cast shadows upon everything in its sight , illuminating the sky which may even be the last sky I'd see.

I apologise for being a horrible writer and for this prologue being so short.
