As the elevator doors open, I take off my black heels and hold them in my hand as I go up the stairs. I pass my mothers room to see the door slightly opened. Out of curiosity I open the door to see my mum awake watching Say Yes To The Dress, our favorite show on TLC.

"Hi honey, you're back so early. Why's that?" She ask patting the empty space next to her on the bed for me to sit down.

"Hey mum. Nothing, Cam dropped me off downstairs since he had a family emergency to attend to. So he took me home and said he would explain later. But I'm glad I'm home that way I can spend sometime with you." I say leaning into her chest like I used to do when I was little.

"That's good. I've miss this a lot. Us being together and spending some quality time." She says after we finish five episodes of Say Yes To The Dress.

"I've missed this too. I'm going to go to bed now it's almost midnight and I have school tomorrow. Love you mum." I say to my mum giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Goodnight, I love you too. Oh and don't forget your father is coming home this weekend." She says bringing me into a hug.

I walk towards my room and open my closet drawers to find a pair of adidas sweats and a black v-neck. I take out a makeup wipe and wash my face, brush my teeth and put my hair down. I then climb under my bed covers and pull out my phone to see if anyone has texted. I see that there's none so I just put my phone to charge and drift into sleep.

I wake up to Stitches by Shawn Mendes. It's Megs ringtone since she loves Shawn. I slide to the right to answer the call.

Hey Meg

Hey Soph

I pull the phone away from my ear to check the time it reads 5:15 a.m.

Are you having a crisis because if not I'm going back to bed!

No, but I was wondering if you wanted to go get some coffee and donuts from Dough before school that way we can also catch up.

Sure sounds good to me. What time do you want to meet?

Your building at 5:50 a.m?

Alright I'll be down there.

See you soon. She says and hangs up the phone.

I decide to get out of bed and head to the bathroom to take a quick shower. I blow dry my hair and straighten it in less than fifteen minutes. I check the time to see that it's 5:35 a.m. I walk into my closet and pick out some light wash jeans with a ripped hole on the right knee and a burgundy sweater with gold pointy stones on the shoulders. I grab my matching burgundy converse and Marc Jacobs watch. I leave a note for my mum on the kitchen counter stating that I was going to Dough with Meg for breakfast and then I would head to school.

It's 5:49 when I reach the entrance to our apartment building. Meg is waiting on her phone and looks up when she notices that I'm approaching her.

"Hey Megs." I say bringing her into my arms for a hug.

"Hey cutie, I've missed you! I feel like it's been centuries since we've hung out like this." She says holding our embrace tightly.
