Chapter 24~ Breathing

Sorry I haven't updated in so long!

KAYLAS POV

*still in science*

"Kayla, you and Ethan should come to my party this Saturday, anyone's invited" Sarah says passing me the piece of paper with details about her party.

"Yeah sure I'll ask Ethan" I smile at her, then turning around and finding Ethan giving Kai the finger. "Ethan?" I scream to him from across the room in confusion.

"He did it first!" Ethan says pointing at Kai, I look at Kai

"What no I didn't!" Kai says, I turn around back to Ethan, I'm so confused...

"Kayla, Kai did it first" Chris pipes up

"He's just picking favourites" Kai says scrunching his face at Chris.

"Fuck off" Ethan screams at Kai

"You don't tell me to fuck off" Kai says getting up and walking over to Ethan, I'm even more confused, I start to get dizzy, but that's the last thing I remember...

GEMMAS POV

"Kayla! Kayla!" I scream into Kayla's face trying to get her to wake up, she's passed out. All the girls are trying to wake her up whilst all the boys are trying to break up Kai and Ethan's punch-up. "ETHAN!!!" I scream at him, he still hasn't realised that Kayla has passed out. "ETHAN LOOK AT KAYLA SHES PASSED OUT" I scream at him even more angry.

"What!" He finally pushes Kai away then runs over to Kayla. "Omg Kayla, this is all my fault" he says crying, I look at his face, it's red with bruises all over it, and his eye was already starting to go purple. I then look at Kai, he was just getting up from the ground, his eye was purple but not as bad as Ethan's, he had bruises like Ethan, but not as much, he also had scratches up and down his arms, but they weren't from Ethan, Ethan has no nails because he bites them. I look back to Kayla, Ethan's picking her up, he then carries her bridal style and runs up to the sick-bay. I follow them and the teacher tells everyone to sit down.

"Ethan!" I scream but he keeps on running. "Ethan!" I scream again, he keeps on running but quickly looks back. He's a really fast runner and I'm not, so I just keep on running as fast as I can. He then goes round the corner into the sick-bay, I keep on running, eventually I get there.

"Something happened in science and she fainted in the middle of the class" Ethan says very quickly painting, to the lady.

"Oh ok lay her down on the bed and you can wait for her if you wish, get her some water for when she wakes up, if she doesn't wake up in 20 minutes we will need to call an ambulance." She says to Ethan, he does what she says immediately. "Are you here for her aswell?" She asks me

"Yes, is it alright if I stay too?" I ask, she nods and I take a seat with Ethan. We sit there just watching her, breathing.

*20 minutes later*

She still hasn't woken up and Ethan hasn't said a word. "Ethan should we tell the lady that she hasn't woken up?" I ask him, he gulps and nods his head slowly. I get up and walk to the front sick-bay. "Excuse me but Kayla hasn't woken up yet" I say.

"Ok I will call the ambulance and could you please tell your teacher and her parents" She tells me. I agree and run down back to the science block, on my way I unzip my pocket and take out my phone, I unlock it and go to my contacts, still running. I call Mel and she's on her way to the hospital, I run and open the classroom door panting, everyone turns around and looks at me "sir we've had to call an ambulance Kayla still hasn't woken up"
