Hidden Lies & False Truths

Chapter 6

After the concert is over Raven and Eric are about to head out the doors when security stops them.

"Ma'am will you come with me please?" The rent-a-cop asks politely.

"Uhm what did I do sir I know I haven't done anything wrong." Raven says freaking out a little inside.

"That papa dude wants to talk to you and you alone." He tells Her.

"It's Papa Emeritus the 3rd and okay where's He at?" Ravens attitude showing a little bit as He points Her toward backstage.

She tells Eric She'll be right back then goes to find Papa. He wasn't hard to find at all, He bows as He sees Raven walking towards Him.

"I'm glad to see you got my message before you left, please come with me." He says as He holds a hand out and She takes it.

He takes Her to a secluded room and asks Her a question.

"Are you as curious as the rest?"

"Excuse me?" Raven says as confusion floods Her body.

"About what I look like, you have never asked once over these many years, ever since you first sent us the pictures you've taken of the band during live concerts." He moves back a little.

"It's not my business, who am I to bug someone constantly to find out who they are or what they look like, I fell in love with your voice, your music, and everything else. Your personality shines through everything you do and it's a beautiful one. I will wait with the others for the day you reveal yourself to the world." Raven tells Him all while smiling at Him and looking deep into His gorgeous eyes, feeling like She may catch a glimpse of His soul if She doesn't stop.

He turns away then begins to take off the hat and mask. Once done He sets it aside then slowly turns around to find Raven covering Her eyes.

"Raven, what are you doing?" He asks Her taking Her hands into His.

"Why did you take off the mask? Are you sure you want me to see your true face? " She is full of anticipation and confusion.

"I took it off because I want you to see me, you're the only one whose never asked or begged or hinted at wanting to see. So yes, I want you to see my true face." He tells Her while still holding Her hands.

Slowly Raven opens Her eyes and once She does all She can do is just stare at this beautifully made human being. He sees the awe struck love shining in Her eyes and He smiles at Her.

"You.... you are a beautiful man Papa Emeritus.... " Raven says as She gently places a hand on His cheek caressing it as He does the same to Her.

"You, Raven, are the beautiful person in this room and I am honored to be in your presence. Please, you can call me Tobias. The look in your eyes when you saw my face gave me such a rush of feelings I haven't felt in such a long time... this was the last show of the tour we're done till the next album. I would like to take you out on a date, several dates actually, if you would want to that is." He says to Raven but all she can do is stand there speechless until she finally finds the words to say.

"I.... I... yes I would love to!! Oh I probably just sounded so desperate." Her face turns red as She puts Her head down but Tobias lifts it up and shakes His head in disagreement.

"You didn't sound desperate Raven, you're just really excited it's not hard to tell, I was the same way when you got on stage earlier and were singing with me. Would you want to hang out tonight?" He makes Her feel better and a lot less embarrassed by admitting that to Her.

"Of course I would love to... oh damn.. I'm my friends ride home. We can hang out at my house if you'd like, have a couple drinks, talk more with privacy so you don't have to wear your mask." Raven suggests and Tobias smiles.

"I'd love that I'll go change and meet you out front by the main doors, just tell your friend I'm an old friend from school or something. " Tobias says before lightly kissing Ravens cheek, She blushes uncontrollably then goes to find Eric by the front doors.

"What happened is everything okay?" He asks and Raven nods.

"Yeah everything is okay the band wanted to thank me and told me I had an amazing talent that I should run with it. I also ran into a friend of mine from my old school before I moved here, his ride left without him so I told him he could catch a ride with me." Raven tells Him as she leans against the wall while they wait for Tobias. She sees Him jogging over to them a few minutes later.

"Sorry about the wait, hey names Tobias you must be Eric, Nice to meet you." He says to Eric while shaking His hand. You can tell Eric is jealous but for what reason exactly She doesn't know.

"Nice to meet you Tobias, shall we get going it's getting late I have work tomorrow." Eric says as He climbs into the back seat of my '87 cherry red and black Chevy Camaro.

We drop Eric off at home and I thank Him for an awesome evening. I hug Him before heading home.
