Nirvana Jones is your classic, high-school, outcast. Well, almost... She has no friends, she sits in the back of the classroom and and never pays any attention to what the teachers are saying. However, she is smart and knows everything the teachers are trying to teach the rest of the class. What nobody knows though, is that under the nerdy, outcast facade, there is the real NIRVANA JONES. The piano prodigy who is partially deaf and has a deaf sister. She becomes herself; beautiful, confident and strong. But at school, she feels as if she has to hide herself. No one can know who she really is.
Nirvana is a very self concious person around her peers. They make her feel small and beneath them. She doesn't like to bring unnecessary attention. Acording to her, being a piano prodigy is unnecessary. Then she meets Emmett, the new, mysterious and sexy boy that never speaks. No on knows anything about him. He is a withdrawn and socially uninterested boy. Every popular Barbie, as Nirvana calls them, throws themselves at him and he politely declines every single offer. Nirvana is curious because whenever she is around hime, she just feels as if she HAS to know more, HAS to be with him, forever. WHY? What Nirvana doesn't know is that all she has to do is learn to listen.
