Chapter 3- A New World

As we walked back into school Francis, gave me a meaningful look about what he had sent me in

his mind. As I pondered what he wanted to say,  I looked over at Lucian, but he was looking in the

direction Francis walked off  and was glaring. “Umm you ok luc ?" I said giving him a nickname,

because his name was to annoying to say all the time. " Luc? “I smiled. “ It's a nickname,

stupid. Hmmmm or maybe that should be your

nickname instead....." I said with a smirk. He looked agitated. “I’m not stupid!" His face turning red

like a tomato. Ha! It was entertaining to annoy him. He was seeming to be more and more like a

child the more I know him.

 Gertrude came up to me and smiled for the first time. “Looks like we are going to be good friends. I

think he's a complete idiot as well.'' And linked arms with me and we walked into the school as he

mumbled behind us a bunch of what I was assuming curse words in a  language I couldn't

understand. Not that i knew any other language but my own.

Interesting I’ll have to ask Gertrude what language it was later. “So what’s your story?” I curiously.

she gave me a small smile and said “Well there’s not much to say. I've been helping find potential

students for over 2 years, so I know these guys pretty well. Right after i graduated from Wilda i was

asked to join the seekers. I lived with my mum and sister and  in the fey realm since I was 5. After

my dad died in a  war with a shifters tribe that were trying to go back to the human realm, everyone

was restricted to their own realm for safety reasons. We were all basically on lock down, so no one

could go between realms like before. Since me and my sister are half and half  we could go

between the two realms. All half-lings could you see,but our mum couldn't so we didn't want to leave

her alone." I listened and thought about it. “I’m sorry about your dad" I said sympathetically. “It’s ok I

never knew him. I cant even remember what he looked like.”

She said with a sad smile. “My parents are never around. Which makes me wonder which one, if

not both, have been lying about who I am if what your saying is true and I am part elf and part

witch......." I said suddenly hurt that they would be keeping so much from me. 

“Well we can find out once we go to the academy." Gertty said a reassuring look. I guess looks are

deceving, she seems nice...... Leo came up behind us and wraped his arm around my waist saying

" So your apart of the gang now eh? Nice........" As he started waggling his eyebrows at me. Alright I

had, had enough of his bullshit. He needed to be taught a lesson. I smiled  at him and pushed him

to the wall.
