Chapter 1
Moving day. Before my senior year. In a way, it was great. I had no friends and wasn't even interested in making any. Frankly, staying in the shadows I was able to listen to each and every whisper. Who cheated on whom, who had a secret relationship, who wasn't good in studies everything. I stayed out of everyone's eye and they pretended like I didn't exist. It worked fine for me and for everyone. Except I knew everything.
The only person I was the closest to was my dad. He's been there for me throughout everything. Ever since my mom died, I got closer to dad and my brother. But then my brother moved away and dad was always just there.
Packing took a lot of time. I had posters of so many artists on my walls, I had to carefully take them off and make sure I don't rip them cause it cost me a fortune to collect all of them. After almost three hours or so I think and trying so hard not to procrastinate I finished packing all my essentials. It took me another two hours to declutter the junk and not be nostalgic trying to hoard things.
Dad had told me that our new house was supposed to be a surprise for me. I was quite excited I must say because my dad was probably the most creative person and gave the best surprises.
The place we were moving to, Asterly Falls, was where my brother had decided to move. He lived there with his fiancee. Whenever they visited, I could talk to them for hours. I guess you can say that Raphael and Mikaela were my only true friends.
The drive there wasn't too far away. Only two hours, one coffee stop and hundreds of songs belted out by us later we reached our house. It looked small from out but little did I know, it was much bigger from inside. I was informed by my dad that Raphael only lived about fifteen minutes away so weekend visits were confirmed.
The house had a nice big living room, a good sized kitchen and three rooms on the first floor. Dad told me that I could decorate the place however I wanted and I have never thanked god enough for pinterest.
Dad told me that I could use the extra room for whatever I wanted. And by whatever I knew he meant I could covert it into a music studio of sorts. I forgot to mention that yes, I sing and I play the keyboard.
Dad was going to begin working at a new law firm. He began tomorrow and my school was supposed to begin next week.
I'm Alessandra Dante and this is my story.
