She sits in the dark

While thoughts roam freely through her mind

Occassionally tears sting her eyes

Thinking she is alone...

She allows the tears to fall

And suddenly hears a noise coming from beside her

She turns on a light and looks to her left...

To see a girl...

A girl who looks so fragile

Tears stained on her cheeks

Her heart ripped into two

A blank stare on her face

No emotion left in her eyes

The girl grabs her hand

And leads her into a world unseen by anyone else

A world of memories

Memories that have haunted her mind forever

The pain from the memories burn her heart

And she begs the girl to stop...

To let her go

The pain starts to become unbearable

And just when she feels as if she can't take anymore

It suddenly goes away...

And she lays on her bed gasping for air

Relieved that it was just some terrible nightmare,

She goes to take a shower

Attempting to wash away the thought of what just took place

She allows the hot water to drown the pain that had felt so real

She then steps out and walks by a mirror

She does a double take

As she notices that the reflection isn't of herself

But of the girl who made her feel all of that pain

The girl that was so broken

Then she finally comes to realization...

That this wasn't just some girl she saw in a nightmare

It is the girl she had now become
