Chapter 8

*A week later.*

Joe's POV:

It had been a week since Charlotte had woken up but she still didn't recognise her parents. She was fine with other people like me, Caspar, Zoe, Alfie. Just not her siblings and other family.

They tried to visit but she often got upset because she just didn't know who they were.

She was coming home soon. Well to her apartment with Caspar and Alfie, I would visit her but Zoe didn't know yet about me and Charlotte, we were going to wait until the right time, but it's Charlotte's birthday in a month, and Zoe's planning a party, a lot of us are going to stay at hers like me, Caspar, Alfie, Charlotte and people like that.

I want to give her something special, to show my love, but Zoe wants us to give our presents all together, so we'd have to tell her.

I drove to the hospital with Caspar, Alfie and Zoe had gone a date or something so I decided to go see my baby.

I was happy that I could be honest with Caspar, I know he's her uncle, but he's also my best mate and it didn't matter that he was related to the love of my life when it came to her. Because he wants her to be happy, and I will try my best to make her happy.

We arrived and went straight to her room. "Hiya baby, how are you?" "I'm good thank you babe." I kissed her forehead and sat down. "Oh Mr Sugg, Mr Lee may I borrow you for a moment?" We nodded and I kissed Charlotte once again and followed the doctor outside. "As you both know, Charlotte will be returning home within the week. Who will she be living with?" "Me." Caspar said and the doctor wrote something down. He then responded "okay, she is well. Just make sure she takes her tablets that will be prescribed and let her rest. She'll be perfect in no time." We shook his hand and walked back into Charlotte's room. "Thank you."

I shuffled back over to Charlotte's bedside and intertwined our fingers. "What was that about?" She asked curiously. "It was about you coming home. Well to Caspar, Alfie and yours. He wanted to know who you were staying with."

"Okay." She seemed disappointed. "What's wrong baby?" She looked down. "Nothing, I just love you that's all." I kissed her hand. "I love you too but there's something wrong, I can tell."

"Nothing, I know that it wouldn't work anyway." "What baby?" "Caspar? Can I have a minute with Joe? Please?" He nodded and stepped outside.

"I was thinking, I could've stayed with you. But obviously, Zoe doesn't know so..." "I didn't think of that baby, I'd love you to stay with me! I just thought you'd want to stay with Alfie and Caspar. You can if you want baby!" A smile grew on her face and I took her in my arms.

"Zoe doesn't come round often anyway, she's always round Caspar and Alfie's, that's why i'm always round there too. If she wonders where you are, we can say you went back home or something until we tell her." She agreed and I kissed her, passionately. "Shall I call Caspar in while I go talk to the doctor and then we can tell Caspar when I come back?" She nodded. "Do you want anything while i'm out?" "Tea?" I let go and stepped outside of the room. "Caspar go in, I'm just going to get Charlotte a drink. Want anything?" He shook his head and headed in. "Hi, doctor, can I ask you about Charlotte? Is there any chance she could stay with me?" "Of course, it's up to you. Thanks for telling me sir." I walked off and smiled. I can't wait.

I returned to the room with Charlotte's drink and handed it to her. "Thank you baby." "That's okay, oh and he said it's fine." I sent her a look and she nodded. "Caspar, is it okay if I stay with Joe for a while? So it's less people fussing around me and" Caspar cut her off.

"Of course! I can't force you to stay with us. Do what you like, I trust you with Joe. Just don't be doing anything inappropriate you two." We all giggled and both hugged and thanked Caspar. "But please don't tell Zoe she's staying at mine, say she's gone back to her parents or something. She doesn't know about us yet and we want to wait until the right time."

"Okay, that's fine with me." We thanked him once again and just talked for a while. Until Zalfie walked in. "Hiya Zoe! Alfie!" Caspar shouted. Luckily, he was covering mine and Charlotte's hand, so I quickly let go and grabbed my phone from beside my hand.

"Heya Zo! Alfie!" I stood up and hugged my sister. "How are you Charlotte?" Zoe asked and they began chatting. "Alfie can Caspar and I borrow you for a second?" He nodded and we walked outside the room.

"Listen Alf, when Charlotte gets out she's going to stay with Joe. But we can't tell Zoe because she doesn't know about Joe and Charlotte yet. We've got to say she went back to her parents to get to know them again." "Yeah, we'll tell her soon. Just not yet. Before Charlottes birthday because I'm getting something special for her birthday. Oh can you guys come shopping with me?"

"Okay. But tell her soon Joe, and I can come, when?" Alfie commented. "Before Charlotte comes out or a week or so after? I'll say I have a meeting or something." I replied.

"Okay just tell me when." Caspar agreed too. "Thanks guys." We 'man hugged' and went back inside the room. I nodded at Charlotte and she smiled. "I better go guys, I have filming to do but I'll see you later." I winked at Charlotte and grabbed my jacket before walking out.

I'd got Caspar's key so I could drop by theirs on the way home to maybe get some ideas of what to get Charlotte for her birthday. I unlocked the door and popped into her bedroom. I just looked at what was out and her size in shoes and clothes to buy her an outfit for her party.

I took notes in my phone and left. Locking the door behind me. I drove to the shopping centre to pick up some presents now like a new bottle of her perfume and a beanie. The rest I would buy online or with the guys. I bought some things for LA too as I or we were going a week after Charlotte's birthday. That's if she wanted to come too. I was going with Oli, Caspar, Josh, Will, Arden and hopefully Charlotte.

I drove home and put everything away. I then heard my phone buzz so I took it out of my pocket. Charlotte: I'm lonely, come visit? Everyone left. I have news. Xx

The last bit scared me a little so I replied. Joe: okay. Be there soon. Good or bad? Xx
Charlotte: good. Xx I grabbed my keys and hopped in the car. 5 minutes later, I was there. I walked to her room and kissed her. "Hiya baby. What's the news?"

"Hiya Joseph Suggery. I can leave tomorrow!" "Yay! That's great, how do you feel?" "Ecstatic! I can't wait get out of here. I have to use crutches for like 3 weeks though." She pouted. "Don't worry, it'll be fine! At least you get out of here and stay with your boyfriend." She smiled and giggled at that comment, which made me laugh too. We talked for a while longer until it got to about 10 pm and she was getting tired. "I'm going to go and let you sleep baby. What time should I come tomorrow?" "About 9-10 am?" "That's perfect, I'm going to drop round Caspar and Alfie's and tell them you get discharged tomorrow. Bye baby."

"Okay, bye honey." I kissed her and embraced her tight before making my way out and to Caspar and Alfie's.

I arrived and knocked on the door, Caspar answered and in the background I could see Zalfie cuddled up on the sofa. "Hi guys, I need to speak to you." They turned their attention to me and turned of the TV. "Go on the Broseph!"

"Okay so, I popped in to check on Charlotte on my way here because Caspar asked me to because she had some news. And she said she gets discharged tomorrow. But she's coming here to get some stuff then going to her parents" "Why? I thought she didn't remember them?" Zoe asked confused. "She kind of does now. She wants to remember them better so she thinks going home will help." "Makes sense." Alfie stated and we all agreed. "Caspar, do you want me to take you to pick her up or should I and just bring her back?" "Pick her up if you want, there's no point coming here, to go there to come back here." We all agreed and just watched movies until about 2 am. "I better go. It's late." "Stay broseph! It's 2 am!" "I can't I need to do some things for tomorrow." I stood up and grabbed my stuff and headed towards the door. "See you tomorrow guys."

A/N Sorry guys! I took a short break because I just went back to school and just didn't have time. Should update tomorrow though. 😊
