I walk out of the car and it feels like my heart is going to pop out of my chest due to my nervousness of meeting my parents face to face.

He parked right in front of the main gate of our house with his jeep. I stand outside of the car, holding the door and bending down so I can see his face. What do I even say? Thanks for letting me stay over? Heck no. Thanks for kidnapping me? No again. "Thanks for the ride" I say with a fake smile on my face.

"No problem, love." he says and winks. What's up with all this flirting anyway? Geez, am I that attractive? I guess so.

I slam the car door shut and slowly walk towards the gate as I hear him driving away in his jeep. I enter the code and I hear that familiar buzzing that means the small metal door next to the gate is unlocked. I open it and walk up the driveway to our main door. I lost my phone somewhere and my keys as well, they are probably in that stupid hole.

I just stand there, right in front of the door and I can't get myself to press the doorbell. I'm really nervous and I'm not ready to meet my parents. I haven't even come up with a reasonable explanation yet, I just know that I went to a guy's house and spent my last two nights there. And I'm not about to snitch on those criminals, I'm just too scared of them.
Should I tell the story Louis told me to tell?

I groan as I I finally get the courage to press the doorbell. I hear heavy footsteps coming closer to the door and my heart is just beating faster and faster.

The door opens and there stands my father. My rich, strict, Lovely father. He scans my body with his eyes, he probably wonders where I got these clothes from.

"Where in Gods name have you been?" He says through his teeth that are clenched so the neighbors don't hear him. He grabs me by my wrist and drags me inside and there stands mom and my sister Jamie.

"Do you have an explanation Alexis Chevaliér?!" He screams the words so fast, I can hardly hear what he's saying. I try to ignore him and I don't know why. I take off my heels and then he screams again, but louder this time.
"Alexis, you answer me right now!" he shouts.

I can feel a lump in my throat like I'm going to start crying but I hold it in.
"I- I didn't mean to-" I stutter as he interrupts me.

"You didn't mean what?" He shouts. "You didn't mean to do what Alexis?" He adds and calms himself down a bit.

"Calm down, David" my mother says and walks up to him and rubs his back. "Let her settle down, shower, eat and then she can tell us what happened. In detail" She says calmly and looks at me to show how serious she is. I love my mom, she always handles situations in the right way.

I walk inside, pass Jamie in the hallway and she just gives me this evil smirk. That girl hates her own sister, it's really sad, but I could care less right now in this situation.

I walk towards the stairs that leads to my room, Jamie's room and my brother Aiden's room, he mostly plays kid-friendly games in his room. My room is at the end of the hallway, I pass Aiden's room and I open his door to say hi. He is currently doing his homework and he noticed I was standing in the doorway, he gets off his chair so quickly that it falls. He runs and jumps into my arms and gives me the hardest hug.

"Oh Lexi, I thought you got eaten up by zombies" he says still hugging me. His blonde curly hair is getting in my face and I usually get so annoyed by that, but not this time, I've actually missed it.

"What tells you I didn't get bit by one?" I say with a playful evil voice as I make the best growling sound as possible. He runs to the other side of the room, screaming and laughing at the same time. I couldn't be happier right now. My seven year old brother always gets me in a better mood, how is that possible? I walk towards him to pick him up and hug him again. My hands are around his small body and he's holding me around my neck with his arms.

"I love you bud." I say and kiss his cheek as I let him down. "Your hoodie smells like lavender and I love you too buddibud" he says and goes back to his homework.

I walk out of the room and close the door behind me and enter my room. It's so neat and clean, my mom must have cleaned it while I was away. Before I left there were clothes everywhere after me trying on different outfits for that stupid party.

I enter my bathroom to take a quick shower. I get undressed, throw the clothes in the laundry basket and enter the shower. I turn on the water and it's the perfect temperature. The water runs down my body and that's when I start to think. I just let out all of the emotions that I held in the past few days. Tears just stream down my face and gets washed away with the water. I'm not sad, I'm just angry. Angry at myself. Why did I get myself into this mess? This is messed up. I'm messed up.

I ignore the emotions and instead, I start to clean my hair, then condition it and clean my body. I get out of the shower, dry myself up and get dressed in a clean pair of sweatpants and a hoodie.

I walk downstairs into the kitchen. There they are, waiting for me, sitting next to each other. Father, mother and sister. It looks like an interrogation is about to happen. I take a seat in front of them and they all look really pissed off, especially my father.

"Are you going to tell us what happened young lady?" He says with his deep voice that he only uses when someone's in trouble.

"I just, yeah, This is stupid. You're gonna think this is stupid." My nervous self stutters an answer.

"It probably is stupid. You need to focus on your studies and stop fooling around! You are making a fool of yourself Alexis."

"I was at a party and I.. met a guy. I met a guy. And he was really nice to me and I decided to follow him to his place. But my clutch with my phone, credit card and keys in it got stolen. And I tried looking for-" I try to explain but Jamie interrupts me.

"Well, couldn't you walk home instead of slutting you down with some stranger?" She shouts. I gasp and I just shake my head in frustration, trying not to pick a fight. Why is she sitting and discussing with me? It has nothing to do with her, mom and dad are enough. She's like my third parent and I let out an annoyed sigh.

"Jamie, go up to your room, now!" He says and points at the stairs.
"Okay then." She mumbles and stands up dramatically and walks out of the room. I'm smiling on the inside, that's what you get, Jamie.

"This is unacceptable, unacceptable! Alexis, why don't you listen!" He shouts and puts his arms over his head in frustration.
Great, Jamie triggered his anger.
"I try my hardest to be the daughter of your dreams! Can't you see that? I'm college. I have straight A's. What else do you want?" I spit.

"You could try not to be the towns tramp!" He says as he stands up. Did he just say that? Did my father just call me a whore?

"David, now that's a bit too far" my mother says.

"NO! It's not, she needs to learn the hard way and realize it herself!"

I stand up and start to walk away.
"You're grounded for a whole month!" I hear my father yelling. I walk to my room as I feel tears running down cheeks. I lay down on my bed and I can hear my parents arguing. My mom is telling my dad that he took this too far and my father tells her about some role-play. I think he's referring to a theatre he saw recently. But it doesn't even make sense.

It gets quiet for about five minutes and then my mother enters my room. She sits down on my bed next to where I'm laying.
"You know he didn't mean it, Lexi." She says with a comforting voice.

"Mom, I don't know what to do. I'm just a complete mess right now. I don't know why I did it." I tell her, and it's the truth, I'm just so confused right know.

"I understand your needs and desires as a teenager, but don't take it too far, I can shorten your curfew to one week if you promise me you won't do this again."

"I promise." I tell her with a convincing voice. I don't plan to get trapped again mom.
