Connie's Log - Sol 10

Hehe. Today was pretty fun. For me at least. So, the majority was Watney's day was spent bringing soil from outside the HAB into the HAB. Now, I have figured out by now that there is nothing on this planet that Watney hates more than disco music. Little did he know until earlier that I have my own large collection of music on my data-stick. So, whenever he was inside, I would play the disco, but whenever he was outside, I would listen to music that I actually like.

That plan was going fine until I thought I had our communications system fixed. I was too busy focusing on that to realize that Watney had come back in. I soon figured out that I had not fixed the system and that Watney had returned. Well, the only thing I could do was to keep my music playing and hope he didn't notice. Sadly, he noticed.

"What is this? This isn't disco? What did you do?" Asked Watney, using some more colorful language. I sighed.

"I have music-good music on my data-stick. I've been listening to it when you were outside. I forgot to switch it back this time." Fooled Around and Fell in Love by Elvin Bishop came on.

"Oh, yeah? How can I believe you?" He asked. "Maybe you wanted this song to play exactly now so you could tell me how much you admire me and have had a crush on me since the moment you first set eyes on me. Maybe you planned the two of us getting stuck here alone together!" I erupted in laughter.

"Firstly, no. I got sidetracked trying to get the communications system operational again. Secondly, eww. Finally, you and I both know that if I had to strand myself here with limited resources and another member of the crew, I would have chosen Beck." I smirked at him and turned off my music. I turned the disco back on.

"Yeah, I would have too."
