The Silent One

Chapter IV

September 2, 2015

I am awoken by Mrs. Nakamura. At first it took me a moment to realize what had happened.

"Hey Ricky, there's only five minutes left in class. Just decided to wake you up so that you're not late or anything." She says with a nice smile on her face.

I smile back at her and start to put my stuff in my bag. It wasn't much, just my pens & textbook. I then proceed to get up and exit class & go to my next class which is chemistry, right off the back I knew that I'll hate that class.

For some reason I always disliked my science teachers. They managed to get under my skin and just get me furious. I'm surprised I haven't attacked one yet.

I head downstairs to class which is where my old art class used to be. There was a incident last year in the science room so now they moved it here. So we kinda lack material I guess.

As I enter class I notice that my teacher is actually Prof.Sanders. He is the only person that can make any class fun, and I'm going to need that here although I won't do much. His classes are amazing because most of the time instead of teaching he'll tell us some life lessons and some pretty cool stories about his life.

"Hellos class my name is Jonathan sanders but you can call me whatever you'd like. I'm going to be your chemistry teacher for the year until you get required credits in this class." Said the professor with serious face. This led to everyone believe he was one of those boring teachers but that's how he gets you.

After he introduced himself he started talking about the time he was in the marines and how he would pass time by playing pranks on on his fellow soldiers. Throughout the whole class we were just listening to him talk. The whole class was alright, so I knew that I would enjoy this class.

When class was over I realized I had PE so I decided not to go today since it was too hot for that. Instead I head towards the library so that I can read for the mean time.

When I get there I decided to use a school computer. From there I then just just stay get on tumblr and start to post.

Usually the schools network doesn't allow access to websites like these but I know my way around the barriers.

I was in the library for the whole period until I had to go to lunch, which was a hell hole. When I entered all the grades where with each other (seniors with seniors, juniors with juniors, etc...). As I stood near the door I heard my name being yelled out and I looked around. That's where I saw my cousins Tim & Tracey who happen to be twins. I didn't know that this was the high school that they were going to. They seemed to be calling me over in which I walked towards them.

"Rick oh my god, long time no see. Come sit with us." Said Tracey as she grabbed my arm pulling me down to the empty seat.

"Leave him alone. Clearly he doesn't want to be with a bunch of freshman, plus he's probably going to be with his friends." Said Tim giving her a scowling look.

"I don't mind sitting with you two, you're family." I said with a smile on my face so that they don't think I'm lying. "So how'd you spend your summer. Didn't you go to Florida or something like that?"

"Yes we did, we even went to Disney world. It was so much fun but some people just wanted to stay here in the city." She says while looking at Tim. "Although he didn't really want to go he had a bunch. He even took pictures with daffy." She proceeds to take out her phone  and show me pictures.

"That's hilarious, he looks so happy with him" I say while chuckling at the same time.

"C'mon, what are you doing showing people that. I look dumb in those pictures." Says Tim as he tries to take his sister phone.

"Not dumb just really funny." I say while starting to laugh even more.

We were having such a good time that we actually lost track of time and had to go to our last period class. They had orientation for today and I had my elective which I wasn't sure what it was about.

When I get too class I saw a couple of faces that I've already met. There's was Michael who already was staring me down once he saw who was the person who entered class. I decide to ignore him and sit somewhere.

" hello class my name is Mr.Kennedy & welcome to Art elective." Said Mr.Kennedy with a smile on his face. "This will be my third year teaching art so I can't wait to see what this class can produce."

As I get my stuff out someone walks into class but I didn't see at first since my head was basically inside my book bag. When I get my stuff and look up I see that it's Sabrina from my English class and she's sitting right next to Michael. This didn't bother me but found it a bit odd. Then it was all clear to me when they share a short kiss before being caught by Mr.Kennedy.

"What are you looking at Moon!?" Says Michael trying to sound intimidating.

"Nothing" I say as I start to sketch on a piece of paper I was given.

"Exactly, now mind your business and don't look at me or my girl or we're going to have problems." He says while getting really annoyed at me.

"Whatever" I say as I continue to sketch.

"You think you're so cool don't you, do something you bitch." He says while getting up and trying to approach me but is stopped by Sabrina.

"Leave him alone, clearly he doesn't even wanna cause anything." She says while standing in front of Michael with her arms crossed.

Michael proceeds to sit down talking under his breath. Mr. Kennedy for some reason didn't pay mind to any of the commotion that just happened. The rest of the time there wasn't anything happening till the end of the day. Once the bell goes off everyone gets up and exit the class. I leave school and head home. As I walk home all I can think about is how bad my year is going to be.

"Huh, first day of school and I already can't wait for the year to end. Maybe something interesting can happen so that It goes by quicker, but for now it'll be boring and a pain." I say to myself as I enter my house.

I walk inside and go to the kitchen to find food already cooked and with a note on it by my mom.

"I had to go to my doctors appointment and I don't know when I'll be back, so I made you dinner so that you don't have to cook for yourself. Hopefully I'll be back by tonight. Love you." -MOM

Oh sweet, Rice,beans, & chicken my favorite. I start to eat up while watching adventure time on Cartoon Network. For a moment I felt as if I was a kid watching cartoons. But after eating dinner at like four in the afternoon I get very tired and go to my room. I start to play music as I lay on my bed as I slowly get more and more tired. After some time I fall asleep which signifies the end of my day and the beginning of a new one.
